"What's your name?" Leah asked as she caressed the body of the luduan, "I don't have a name." The fae creature replied as it stood proud in front of Leah. "I'll call you Emmet, meaning universal truth. I need your help to expose their lies and bring the truth to the light." The luduan made a happy toot, then asked, "You, a princess of the dark, want to bring the truth to the light? This is not something I can understand. Please explain to me." The luduan was perplexed. "You heard me right, Emmet. For every soul, there is a desire, and the desire for the souls of three people who couldn't survive the torture of others yearn for the light. They have passed the test of the queen of the dark. Their hearts are pure. Their filial duty is innocent, without any schemes involved, and their revenge is just." Leah explained to Emmet.
"Can I speak to those souls? I want to see the truth through them. I wish to witness their miseries. Grant me this opportunity. I beg of you." Emmet pleaded with Leah. "Talia, Rosalina, Laura, I know you're all here. My friend wishes to speak with you. Please stop hiding." The three spirits appeared in front of Leah and the luduan. They were then each looked in the eye by Emmet. After that, they all disappeared again. "I can force the truth out of them now. But princess, could you help me? I will tell you to ask some questions and make them answer the truth in my presence. However, there are a few words that you need to recite before the interrogation. 'Veritatis Quaerenti Liga Eos'. I don't think these words should be a problem to you." Emment said. "You're right. They aren't any problem to me. It's time for justice for all those who've suffered under their schemes." Leah's eyes shone in the sun as she looked at the three spirits hovering over her.
Leah left the campus grounds. She told her chauffeur to take her to the nearest station. "Miss, has there been any trouble?" The man dressed in uniform looked at her through the rearview mirror. "I just want justice for a case of three students in my school. They joined at the same time as me. If they weren't murdered, they'd probably have been my friends by now." Leah looked out of the window. "I have a suggestion. You can leave this case to your Dad. You could provide the specifics of what happened and how it links to you. The master will help you." The chauffeur said. "Thanks for your suggestion. Kindly take me home." Leah decided to rely on her family more. As she reached home, her father was waiting in front of the doors, awaiting her return. "Leah, little one. How was your day?" Her father looked like he hadn't seen her in years. "I'm all well. How's your health?" Leah asked. "Good. Good."
Upon entering the house, Leah's face changed from happy to serious. "Dad, I need your help. I want justice for three people." Leah said. "Who are those three people?" he asked. "People who were killed by a group of people who kicked me till I bled." Leah looked bitter as she remembered the tragic past. "What?" Leah's father was furious, but his fury soon turned into sadness and guilt. "I'm a horrible father, aren't I? I didn't even know that my little girl was being assaulted." "Don't say that. You're amazing. It's my fault. After Mom passed away, I guess I was just so busy trying to do things for myself that I forgot how to rely on someone. I'm sorry." Leah finally realised what the darkness in her meant when it told her to rely on her family more. Leah's father regained some colour in his face, along with his composure. "So, who are the suspects? And who are the victims' families?" Leah's father asked. "The victims were three girls my age when I first joined the campus. They belong to the Xerxes, Darius and Louis families, respectively. I'll bring the data of the investigation to your table tonight. I need some time to arrange the data." Leah said.
"Take your time. I believe in you." Leah's father said. "I won't disappoint you. I have the suspect list. Dad, I need you to ask Lily to bring the investigation team to the campus tomorrow. There will be an interesting foreplay after announcing the heads." Leah said, then headed up to her room. "Emmet, I have another way to reveal the truth. I need to see what you saw. I can use it to procure evidence. Who says that the campus ground doesn't have surveillance at night? I'll act as the surveillance." "No. That's dangerous. You can't physically prepare evidence since no CCTV was installed there. It wouldn't make sense." Leah said. "But it does. There's a CCTV in the most remote area there. It's just under the nest-like thing. It fits like a pinhole camera. I just got intel from someone." Leah said. "I hope you're right, Leah. If you are, then this would mean that you never required my presence in the first place." Emmet said.
"That is not true. I still require your assistance, Emmet. I need your help to question them. In case they say that the video is a fake." Leah said. "I'm still unable to solve one mystery. The principal didn't see the cameras that day, or was there any unspoken deed in secret? It's impossible for anyone who works for the rich and powerful to have a clean track record." Leah pulled out her mobile phone from her jumper pocket and dialled a number. "Melinda, I need your brother's help." A voice from the other end of the receiver came, "Jean, at your service. What can I do for you, Miss Serpico?" Jean asked. "Jean. Please, I need you to provide me with details of any transactions that may have occurred on the campus between the first three months I got accepted. It's important. I need it within two hours. Think you can make it?" Leah asked. "Of course. I will need half an hour. I've already reached all the account transactions that took place that year. Don't cut the call. You should hear what I will say right now." Jean could sense that Leah was about to cut the call.
