After giving the thugs a piece of her mind, Leah turned and walked into the campus. She noticed her brother was standing in front of her class. "What're you looking at?" Julien was staring at a board outside her class. "I'm looking at your results. You came out first. You've always been good in your studies. But who is this Kiara? She also did pretty well, lost to you by five marks only." Julien gave her a reply. "Kiara Leandro. One of the best artists I've ever met in my life. I've not spoken much with her. But I can tell you that she is the most outstanding girl I've met after Mom. If you see her works, you'll fall in love with them. Brother, do you want to recruit her into your Arts Foundation?" Leah asked. Julien had a foundation for arts called "Life and Feelings". He was its founder and the leader of the Arts Organisation as well.
"Where can I find her works? Are they better than the ones on this board?" Julien was caught in a trance when he looked at the paintings pinned on the board. The essence of those paintings was pure, peaceful, and satisfactory. One could get lost in its beauty. Leah chuckled. "Those are her paintings. Kiara painted them herself. You can check her signature at the bottom right of the paintings." Leah gestured to the bottom right of one painting. "Then, I don't mind recruiting her. If she can paint this way when she's still studying, if she specialises thoroughly in it, I wonder how high she'll soar. Where can I find Miss Leandro?" Julien asked. "She generally sits in the drawing room." Leah directed Julien towards the drawing room. She then peeped into her class to see if anyone was trying to play any tricks on her.
She saw Leo sitting in her place. Leah paid no attention to it and sat in the place Leo sat. "Sean, come sit in front of me." Leah noticed that Leo was trying to kick Sean. Leo was distracted from his conversation with Emilia. "Don't you see we're talking?" Leo raised his voice towards Leah. He seemed to have regained his spunk. "Looks like you've become more confident. You don't remember what happened in the last week?" Leah said menacingly. Her words were directed at both Leo and Emilia. Emilia stood still and began to shiver. She recollected what Leah told in front of her. She remembered the feeling of being oppressed and disgraced. She remembered the silent humiliation she went through. "F... F... Forgive me, please. I have to go. I have class in two minutes." Emilia ran away, looking like a rat with its tail between its legs. "Your turn." Leah glared at Leo.
"I warned you not to trouble Sean anymore. But it looks like you've been left uncontrolled for a while. Since your family did not teach you respect, I'll make sure to make a good human out of you." Leah toppled Leo's table. "My final warning. If I see your leg or your hand even lean an inch over towards Sean, I'll break your fingers." Her eyes did not lie. The hatred deep in her heart was no longer restricted to only her thoughts. It could not be demonstrated through every word she spoke through her rosy lips and every action she performed. Leo still thought she was bluffing. "Do you know who my father is? One word and your friend and you will disappear." Leo boasted. "Really? Let's strike a deal, shall we? If I call you father, and he decides to let you off lightly if I complain about your heinous deeds, or will he enforce family laws on you?" Leah took out her phone.
Just as Leah was about to call, Kiara and Julien walked in. " What's with the loud voices in here? Mr. Reeds, Do we have a problem?" Julien's eyebrows twisted. "If I hadn't known better, I'd have thought that Leah angered Leo," Kiara said in an emotionless tone. "but I know Leo too well. Leah, teach him a lesson from my side, will you?" Kiara looked disgusted at the sight of Leo. "You crazy woman, I'm your sister's boyfriend," Leo yelled at Kiara. "I don't have a family. So, where did this sister of mine come from?" Kiara questioned Leo. "Oh! If you're talking about Kelly, she's just the daughter my ex-father adopted. She's not my sister. Get your facts checked." Kiara said. "Feisty," Julien mumbled. "Leo Reeds, go up against Leah again, and I swear, your Reeds family won't be able to save itself from trouble." Julien threatened. "What do you Serpicos think you are? The sister threatens me first, and the elder brother follows." Leo got irritated.
"We Serpicos are humans. But if you want more information, ask your father about the lineage of the last heirs." Julien said. "The lineage of the last heirs never ends. Don't tell me you think your family has the privilege to become part of the lineage of the heirs. If that's true, I'll kiss your feet." Leo erupted again. "Really?" Kiara asked. "Yes," Leo said. "Okay, we'll see the result in two months." Kiara scoffed. "Foolish." Kiara and Julien left the scene. The classes started. When the classes ended, Leo met up with Leah. "You think you're someone big because you have a small family backing you? Leah, I'm warning you, live like before, invisible. If you cause a ruckus beside me again, watch it."
"If I had known that you were so stupid, I'd have made my presence known. But you see, I hate attracting unwanted attention. It's bothersome, so, please leave me alone. If you don't cross my lines, I'll let you live in peace. But, covet what doesn't belong to you, and I'll ensure you can no longer live with your ego. If you understand, I'll take my leave, Mr. Reeds." Leah felt her head getting clouded again. Suddenly, the words, 'Tenebrae venerunt ad me.' left her lips. Suddenly, the atmosphere became cold, the temperature dropped, and everyone rushed into the class.
