The world was moving. The one time I didn't wake up with the sun and the very earth itself decided to wake me up. I thought as I tried to sit up. The rumble coming from the earth seemed to be in a rhythmic pattern. It sounded like music.

Katja screamed and I jumped out of the bed over Michi to get to her. The wagon shook and the horses screamed. Michi tried to get up, twice falling back onto the bed with the violent shaking. Eventually, after a few more tries he climbed onto the seat and then disappeared with a thud.

I held Katja closer to me as I called to Michi. "Are you alright?"

"Yes. I just fell. I'm checking the wagon." He yelled over the sound of the horse's panic.

I stroked Katja's hair as the ground shook and the oppressive feeling grew heavy around us. "What's going on mum?" Katja screamed.

"I don't know Pup. We will be alright." I was surprised that my voice didn't show my fear. This must be the alpha in me.

There was a creak and Michi yelled at a crash nearby. "I'm moving us out of the trees." He called.

"Do it fast Michi."

Katja's grip on me tightened as another crash happened. This one was closer. "Duha! The horse is panicking and I can't clear the wheels and stop them from running off."

I kissed Katja. "I need to get us to safety alright?" She nodded loosening her grip.

I moved to the seat and took the reins. Michi kicked the rocks from the wheels and the wagon started to move. I looked back at Michi as he untied the other two horses and climbed onto one of them.

Turning back to look the way we were heading and keeping the horse slow I heard another crack. I saw the tree falling this time, and I gave us a little more speed. Michi looked up as the tree fell behind us. The horses stumbled as they moved across the shaking ground. I slowed them further to keep them from hurting themselves.

We came out of the trees to the road. I looked to the village as a building on the edge collapsed. "What do we do Duha?" Michi yelled over the crash of another tree and the loud boom of another building collapsing.

The wagon leached to the side making Katja scream again. "Come out here Pup." I shouted. We can't move like this! We need to wait for it to stop then help the people in the village. Katja nearly fell as she tried to step out of the wagon. I grabbed her and she clung to me. I looked over at Michi. "We can't move like this. We could hurt the horses or break the wagon. Just like the people in the village, we have to wait and hope it will stop." I put all the confidence I could in my voice to calm my pack down.

Michi smiled and Katja stopped shaking as much. The wagon lurched again making the horse shuffle with the weight of it. The wagon is unbalanced, it could tip if we don't do something. "Michi the wagon is unbalanced. Take Katja..."
