Duha lives alone by necessity not by choice. The world passes her by for the most part. Her past prevents her from getting close to other yaspilrmeth. The world around her is changing to the point where even she can't hide from it anymore. The Drago...

Duha rolled over, and I sighed, going back to my task. I won't push her. She is very hurt by it, whatever it is. I do find it interesting that Michi seems to like her but she is oblivious to it. They seem to have a history there.
I put the bottles on the table and pulled some food from my bag. I sat on the stool and started eating. I feel famished resonantly. I don't think I should eat as much as I am, it will make us burn through our supplies quicker. Duha doesn't seem to mind it. That drew my attention to her again. She shifted and snored quietly. She fell asleep so fast. How on earth does she do that?
I finished my food and went to the large bed. I took the boy from her arms and tucked him into a drawer of the bedside table, surrounding him with the clothes that were in the drawer to keep him safe. Then I pulled the curtain closed and turned back to the bed. Duha is determined to look after me. It's nice to have someone that wants to... even if it's only for a little while. If Michi gets his way I know Duha will want me to leave. Michi doesn't like me after I killed his field... would she keep me if he said I had to go?
Laying down next to Duha, I pulled a blanket over me, sighing at the thoughts of once again being alone.
Duha rolled over and pulled me into her chest. She's asleep but wants to hold me close. I wonder if this is because she has adopted me, or if it is because she wants to protect me. I thought with a yawn. With my stomach full and the warmth of Duha behind me I fell asleep.

When I woke up, the birds sang, and the room was filled with light. I sat up looking around the farmhouse. The curtain that divided this area from the rest of the room, was pulled back. The Kitchen had been cleaned and there was a plate and cup on the table that sat in the middle of the room.
The boy was still in the drawer asleep and there was a note on the bedside table. I picked it up smiling at it. Duha likes leaving notes.
I have fed the boy and made you something to eat. The cup is your medicine. DRINK IT ALL! I am going to look at the group that camped out near your village. I will be back soon.
Stay safe Pup.
Duha.
Shaking my head I stood. Who else would leave me a note, silly Wolf. Ah well, at least we have a safe place for now. She will hopefully come back with an idea of what they are going to do. I walked to the table and sat down to eat.
Duha walked in as I finished the plate. "How do you feel Pup?"
"I feel fine... what did you find out?"
She sat down at the table, opened one of the bottles of milk, and started drinking. "They are going to make a home for the yaspilrmeth."
"What is the yaspilrmeth?" Duha pointed at herself and I smiled. "That's great! Then they will welcome us?"
