I sighed sitting on the seat of my wagon with a bowl of stew. My stomach rumbled loudly as the smell of the food hit my nose. This is the first moment I've had in hours to be alone. Now I get to eat this delicious food. I licked my lips as I lifted the spoon to my mouth. "Rat!"
Looking up I sighed putting my spoon back in the bowl. What now? I saw Blue Dragon and Gorilla walking towards me. Gorilla looked angry and Blue Dragon looked worried. "I am happy to help but I'm going to eat while I do." I called picking up my spoon again.
"I need a translator." Gorilla said stopping next to the wagon.
"Pup could translate for you." I said with my mouth full.
"Reina of the Dragon Fire... it would appear I have caused friction between Gorilla and Katja."
I frowned. "What is going on here?" I asked putting my bowl aside.
"This Dragon is showing an interest in my Pup!" Michi growled pointing at Blue Dragon.
"I'm not sure what he means."
I sighed eyeing the bowl. "Blue Dragon I will explain once Gorilla has finished speaking, alright?"
"Of course Reina of the Dragon Fire." He said with a small bow.
Gorilla gave me a look of pure death. "I was telling him I would hear you first." I said, picking up my bowl, unable to resist the temptation to fill my belly any longer. Gorilla explained what had happened in his house and what was said. He went into so much detail that I was able to finish my meal before he was finished. Blue Dragon stood there trying to follow the words that Gorilla was saying but I could see he was struggling from the occasional frown on his face. "So, in short, you think Topaz here is after Pup?" I asked when he finished. Gorilla nodded folding his arms. "Blue Dragon, I heard your name but will not use it unless you consider me a friend." I said turning to Blue Dragon.
"I would be honoured to consider you friend Reina of the Dragon Fire. If you could tell me why is he so upset with me, maybe I can fix this."
Gorilla glared at us both. "He thinks you will offer your hoard to Katja of the nightwolf pack. Is that your intention Topaz?"
He looked at Gorilla then back to me. "He calls her Pup... like she is a child. She is no child, she is a sweet and kind woman. Anyone would be honoured to have her accept their hoard. I would like to get to know her but her father worries her. Also, I would like her to be more comfortable with me before I offer her anything. We are at the start of things... If this is what has upset him I will stay away from her." He sounded sad at the last thing he said.
"Well?" Gorilla asked.
"Give him a chance to explain Gorilla." I looked at Topaz and he was looking at the floor. He looked like he was broken. "Hold your head high Topaz. Katja is her own woman and can see that you are worth her time. She calls you friend now like I did with Kyanite. Her father will not see you as someone worth her, no father sees anyone as good enough for their little girl. The one you must win over is Duha. She will be overprotective of her Pup. First, you need to talk to her before you offer anything to Katja. You can be her friend, but to offer your hoard, you must wait."
