•Dazai- Fairytale•

Ik this is very cliche and I probably could've written this better. But i recently started watching a new anime and couldn't stop thinking of writing this 😭 plz enjoy.

It's a normal day at the Armed Detective Agency. Kunikida working on reports, Dazai slacking off and listening to music, Ranpo eating candy/sweets, Kenji staring at his plant, ect.

The office door opens and Y/n enters. Excitedly walking up to Dazai holding a box with an old gaming console inside. "Dazai! Look what I found!~" he said.

Dazai pauses his music and rips off his headphones, taking a minute to focus on him. He quickly smiles back when he sees what Y/n is holding. "Is that...a Sega Dreamcast?!"

"That is exactly what it is!" Y/n excitedly said. He sets the box down, sits on the floor, and starts setting it up with the nearby TV.

Dazai excitedly jumps off the couch, walking over to the TV and doing his best to help set up the Dreamcast, though the excitement is making him fumble somewhat. Sitting on the floor besides Y/n.

Once they get it all set up, they turn on the console and their controllers. Looking like excited children on Christmas.

"I can't wait to play this bad boy!" Y/n excitedly said.

Dazai looks over at Y/n. "So, what's the first game we're playing?"

Y/n was about to respond. But both Y/n and Dazai notices the power button of the console glowing. Glowing more than it probably should be.

They look at each other confused, before suddenly blacking out and collapsing on the floor.

They lay there unconscious for a while before Dazai starts groaning in discomfort. His head starts to pound as his eyes open, slowly blinking and adjusting to his surroundings.

Dazai sits up quickly and looks around, noticing that he's no longer in the Armed Detective Agency. He looks over to Y/n. He shakes his head slightly before reaching over to shake Y/n awake.

Y/n's eyes flutter open and he jolts awake. Sitting up and holding his pounding head. "ugh..." he groaned.

Dazai rubs his eyes and looks around at his surroundings. He quickly looks over at Y/n with a confused look on his face before standing up and taking in their surroundings. He notices they're in a  forest. "Why are we- Where are we?" He mumbles.

"I don't..." Y/n started but paused. Looking at both of their outfits.

They are no longer wearing their usual clothes. Instead, Dazai is in a shiny knights outfit. And Y/n is wearing a prince outfit with, of course, a crown.

"Uh... I think...I think we're in the game..." Y/n mumbled while pointing at Dazai's outfit.

Dazai's eyes widen as he turns and looks at his arms.

At first he seems shocked, but that quickly turns into excitement. "This seems to be some sort of fantasy game! We're wearing knight and prince outfits! Let's go investigate the situation at hand-" Dazai starts running off.

Y/n is baffled by Dazai suddenly running away. He quickly stands up and runs over to catch up to Dazai. Grabbing his arm to slow him down. "H-hey wait up for me! Don't leave me behind."

Dazai sighs. He's still slightly confused about the situation at hand, but he quickly recovers back to his usual self. "Don't worry. I won't leave you behind!" He points a thumb over his shoulder at Y/n before looking around and continuing to walk. "This looks exciting but also mildly dangerous."

Y/n sighs as well, and walks closely to Dazai through the forest path they found.

Y/n then starts thinking about their outfits. Or whatever their roles in this "game" they're supposed to be. It's safe to assume Dazai's supposed to be Y/n's knight or protector.
