Some random fluff with mild tiny angst since I'm currently sick and a silly little guy lol.

Y/n works as Bram, and the royal families, butler. In charge of most of the tasks, specifically for Bram.

Bram is in his room. Sitting in front of his vanity and getting himself ready for a ball. "Y/n! I need your assistance." He called out in his typical cold tone.

Y/n enters the room, and walks straight over to Bram. Looking professional and serious as per usual. Despite being almost Bram's age. "Yes, sir? What is it you need?" He asked Bram.

"My outfit for tonight. It needs fixing. I must look my best for the ball." Bram demands as he sits upright in his chair. He's not very expressive.

The suit he's referring to is his most expensive suit, made of the finest black silk brocade. It's made of two main sections, a long coat covered at the bottom by an elegant tail, and a matching vest.

"Yes sir." Y/n said with a slight bow. Before walking over to the suit, and working on fixing the suit so its perfect for Bram.

"Have you learned how to laugh?" Bram dryly asked, raising an eyebrow as he spoke, not meaning anything mean by it. Bram was just curious if Y/n was capable of a genuine laugh.

Y/n was a bit caught of guard by the question, and raised an eyebrow. But he cleared his throat and regained his p composer. "Well of course I know how to, sir. I am human after all." He replied while he finishes fixing the suit.

"Prove it." Bram said in his usual deadpan way, not meaning anything harmful by it.

Even if Bram didn't express it often, he liked Y/n and his serious attitude. But sometimes he wondered how much he was capable of, if anything at all.

"Well I'll need something to make me laugh, like a joke maybe, sir." Y/n replied. Walks closer to Bram and starts helping him put the fancy suit on.

Bram thought for a moment, he had to think of the best joke ever. He cleared his throat. He wasn't going to be out of character. He was very serious, after all. "Why do seagulls fly by the sea?" he asked, with no emotion in his voice.

"Because if they flew by the bay, they would be called bagels." Bram finished the joke. It was the stupidest joke he could think of. But he still expects Y/n to laugh.

Y/n crackles out into a small genuine chuckle. Not because he thought it was funny, cause it was not, just cause of how stupid it was. It was a special sight to Bram. He's never seen Y/n even smile before.

When Bram heard Y/n's laughter, he couldn't help but smile. That joke he made was so stupid, and yet it made his butler laugh. He looked up at Y/n, whose face was a little pink after chuckling, and a very small smile formed on Bram's face for a split second.

Bram felt bad that Y/n hadn't had much to laugh at recently. He's always stuck in his character for his job.

Y/n takes a small step back once he finishes putting the suit on Bram. But he goes back to his usual proffessional serious demeanor. "Your all set for the ball, sir. I hope you have a nice time." He said with a small bow.

"You'll come with, I hope?" Bram said, and if Y/n had his way probably not, since he's supposed to be in his quiet, stoic character at all times. But Bram liked him. He wished Y/n would be human for once. He wanted to make his butler relax.

Besides that, if Y/n came, he could accompany him to the ball so Bram wouldn't have to go alone, unless Y/n had other obligations at that time.

Y/n slightly raises an eyebrow at that question. He starts doing part his usual cleaning, which consist of Bram's room. "Your father stated that Nikolai would be accompanying you." He replied while gathering Bram's dirty clothes.
