This isn't an xReader but I thought this would be funny lol. And Yes, Midge the cat is sorta based off of that Nimbus cat on tiktok.

Everyone always told Dazai that getting cats helps relief stress. That they are the calmest animal a person could get. That they are good for people with bad anxiety.

But seems like God had other plans when Dazai got a cat.

Dazais cat Midge is an absolute menace. She's a very pretty ragdoll cat. But a menace.

While Dazai was on the couch, relaxing and listening to music, as per usual.

Midge is on the couch arm. Hitting Dazai on the head. While making weird demon cat noises.

Dazai, upon being attacked by Midge, removes his headphones from his ears and looks at his cat with amusement.

He gently grabs her from the arm of the couch and sets her on his lap.

"Now Now, Midge. No need to attack Daddy" Dazai jokes, rubbing the top of her head "Where are your manners?"

Midge let's out more of her weird demon cat noises. And makes one that sounds like she said 'no.'

Dazai laughs at the sound, gently petting the top of Midge's head. "No? No manners? I guess I'll just have to teach you some then. Sit." Dazai gently coaxes Midge into sitting on his lap.

He then grabs her paw with his fingers, holding it as if they were shaking hands.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Dazai." He jokes again, putting her paw gently to his face in a "kissing her hand." motion.

Midge makes more little demon noises. Letting out another 'no.' Her ears flat on her head. And she moves to sit loaf style on his lap instead.

God really gave Dazai a strange cat.

Dazai takes note of her ears and laughs softly. He runs his fingertips down her spine gently until he reaches her tail, which he gently picks up. He starts playing with it, wrapping it around his fingers and releasing it, repeating the action.

"Someone's being a diva today, it seems..."

Midge let's out a little kitty sigh. Adjusting her position. And laying on Dazais chest. With her little head on his chest. And closing her eyes.

Dazai moves his hand from her tail to her head, gently stroking it. "Now she listens. That's my good girl. No more 'nos' out of you."

He chuckles softly as she closes her eyes. Dazai continues running his fingers through her soft fur, finding satisfaction in the peace of the moment with his cat.
