Spectators

"I'm a mere spectator"
She said out of the blue,
It puzzled me to no end
So, I was left wondering
And in search for clues.

She appeared an unrivaled gleam
With hues of gold and splendor
I've never seen.

Moments like these when I feel my heart beat out of my chest,
I get weak in the knees
And I almost scream: "God! I'm in love-"

"Of the beauty around me"
She looked at me with an honest gaze
And It touched my heart and soul in so many ways.

Like how nice the air feels after days of rain
Or when words of love were sent your way.
It was all familiar and very new

So, I thought of words and words
Till' a poem came complete
And I had finally realized-

We were both spectators
Of different views.
