Ode to the other half

It was as if my heart was taken from my chest;
A hollow and numb feeling,
Only to have grief soon take place.

I hold on to the day we'll see each other again,
Because I long for a tomorrow with you.
Life is too beautiful not be shared with you.

I pray to God,
Wish to every shooting star,
And throw a coin to every wishing well,

That we are blessed and lucky enough
With the same chance to cross paths,
As we are to one day reunite.
