     Queen  Marinette Snow White's  POV:

She recalled the dance as she watched him sit on a bench in the garden.

She did not know why she felt so guilty about the far-off look in his eyes.

Perhaps it was because she knew it was her fault.

          What was she to do?

Could she break the promise from long ago?

The one she gave her father about never falling in love.

She felt as if the air brought a chill with it.

She stood uncertain about what to do.

For once, she was dumbfounded because she could not understand her feelings. She knew she felt happy as she danced with the prince but sad when he went to sit outside.

She felt as if she could not breathe.

She did not say it out loud, but deep down, she knew she couldn't bear to lose him.

           She shook her head.

        "It is not true."

She tried to protest. She felt something brush past her cheek.

She could not be ... could she?

"I  d-don't l-l..." She could not finish the sentence.  She suddenly felt weak.

Marinette started to pass out as Kali walked by and saw her.

Kali caught the lady who meant more to her and her father than words could ever express.

What could she, a mere child, do?

   The lady was in danger.

"Father, come quick,  it's Marinette, she needs you!"

      Prince Adrien's  POV:

He did not say a word.

It was not as if she could ever feel the same.

      He knew it was useless.

It was as if his love for her were tainted.

      He sighed.

"Why did I have to go and dance with her?"

       He groaned.

       "She was too close."

" I could almost kiss her, but I did not because she does not want me."

He felt ashamed.   He danced with her.

     Why had she let him?

         He felt more confused.

Why did she lean her head on his shoulder?

Did not she know how it made him feel?

"Keep this up, Queen Marinette Snow White, and I shall break my promise not to kiss you."

The prince left the bench to search for his beloved Queen.

He heard the cries of his daughter as he ran towards them.

"Marinette!" He yelled her name as he saw her cheeks turn dark gray.

       "What happened to her?"

"I don't know, father, but I only walked past, and she lost consciousness."

"I will take care of her."

"I know, father, I know you love her."

Prince Adrien carries the pale lady of the house to her room and lays her on her bed.

He wets a cloth and places it over her forehead.

He stays as she sleeps because he's afraid to leave her alone.

      "Marinette, wake up."

" Marinette, you don't dare leave me."
