Kairi's Arc- soulmate encounter

The next morning the Crossheart triplets and Reece woke up in the morning and went into the dark tournament arena on hanging neck island

"This place is a bit scary" Rosearia said as they walked to their seats Reece sat in between Shiba and Maria so they wouldn't argue

"You know I've got the strangest feeling that somehow we're going to be dragged into participating in the tournament" Maria said annoyed

"You know the funny feeling is I think so too" Reece said and sighed tiredly as the tournament starts and the first fight took place

Yusuke was still asleep while kuwabara, hiei, the masked fighter and kurama arrived in the fighting area on the ground

The yokai were booing them and calling kurama and hiei traitors "This is sure one heck of a greeting for special guests" kuwabara said

"Really kuwabara I expect it isn't pleasant being called a traitor as well" kurama said as he was looking around Rosearia spotted the urameshi team

"Hey look there are humans and demons together" Rosearia said Reece glanced over at the urameshi team "hm so it is" Reece said

As if kurama heard her voice he looked up at where she was sitting and they went wide eyed when they saw each other Reece's heart started pounding

"Hm what's wrong Reece" Maria said as Reece still locked gazes with kurama Shiba snapped his fingers in her face to get her out of her daze

"You seem a little distracted" Shiba said as Reece finally looked away "s.shut up" Reece said annoyed smacking the back of his head

Kurama's pov

That girl 'that's our mate' yoko said in my head 'she's looks so enchanting it's hard to look away from her' I thought to myself

The first to enter the ring was rinku and kuwabara there was a lot of ups and downs in the fight almost anyone could predict it but in the end kuwabara lost

'How disappointing' yoko said 'he did his best' I thought the next competitor stepped up to the ring "I'll handle this one" I said

"Kurama considering the stakes we can't afford to take any chances don't leave the ring with him still alive" hiei said of course he's right about that

I felt my mate's gaze on me "Naturally" I said and I heard Yusuke mumble in his sleep "be careful kurama" I know I'm not going to let this fight go south

3rd person pov

"You know that rose whippy thing he's got must be then feet long where's he stash it" kuwabara said standing up with his injuries

"Kurama simply carries a normal rose by manipulating his spirit energy it's transformed into a whip" hiei said as Reece watched from her seat

"In this fight Rodo VS kurama begin" the cat woman said "I know you've been spending years in the human world" rodo said

"We all do what we must I hope you didn't, say get attached to one of them" Rodo said and Rodo's arm had a power to weaponize his body

"What is your point" kurama said as he dodged the attack that was for him kurama kept dodging almost effortlessly making Reece's eye's light up

"Ooh did you find that impressive" Shiba said teasingly Reece hummed looking at the fight "in more ways than one" Reece said

"He's clearly no match for kurama what a joke of a round" hiei said as kurama was finally done playing around "your skills weren't enough for this tournament...any last words" kurama said about to chop off his neck

"I have your human mother kurama or should I say shuichi" Rodo said kurama stopped and Reece knew something was wrong

"I'm going to send my spirit soul somewhere do me a favor tell me what happened afterwards" Reece said as Rosearia, Maria and Shiba caught her unconscious body

Rodo had cut Kurama's cheek because he was cheating "I hate cheaters using his own mother against him that's not fair" Maria said Reece's body started moving again

"What'd I miss" Reece said "not much" Shiba said "allow me to introduce my little button when I press it a signal will be sent to my demon brother" Rodo said

"He's been tracking your mother for some time you see...and he's been very anxious to bite her head off" Rodo said as Shiba realized where Reece went

"Wait did you..." Shiba said Reece said nothing and smirked 'do it' a female voice sounded out in Kurama's mind and he went in for the kill

Earlier....

Reece had sent her spirit soul to kill the demon tracking Kurama's human mother

Back to now...

"Impossible" Rodo said as Kurama realized what he did he didn't know what possessed him to do that but he felt it was safe for his mother it was like someone saved her life and he knew it

Kurama came down with minimal injuries and looked up at Reece who caught his eye and looked away slightly flustered

Next it was hiei VS zeru and hiei won by a landslide...

The next was Yusuke (who was finally awake) and chu the drunkard thankfully Yusuke won

But then an announcement came on "I should mention that we have some special guests their gods" the announcement said

This made every demon go crazy looking for the godborn "if we manage to kill some godborns we'll be famous" a demon said

Reece's anger was blowing through the roof "so it seems that fate is not on our side" Reece said "looks like someone's trying to get us killed" Rosearia said making Reece sigh in frustration

"There's no getting out of it now" Maria said "Shall we go make our appearance then since we've already been called out we might as well" Shiba said making Reece sigh

"Very well it seems we're unable to get out of this situation" Reece said as the four of them jumped up to the sky and landed on the center of the ring
