Kairi's Arc- a kiss

Reece was just walking with the Crossheart triplets while Shiba and Maria were complaining about her fighting in the tournament instead of them while Rosearia watched the chaos unfold from afar

"Why do you get to participate and we can't" Maria said "it's not fair I tell you" Shiba said Reece was so close to losing her temper from hearing their complaining

Rosearia tried to diffuse the situation "Maria, Shiba...I'm pretty sure Reece had a good reason for why she did it on her own" Rosearia said

"Even so it's not fair" Maria and Shiba said in unison "shut the hell up you both are giving me a headache" Reece said holding her head in annoyance

"Damn this headache is going to get worse before it gets better" Reece said annoyed then she stopped walking as she saw figures up ahead

It was team toguro..."So your the cursed child...I saw what you did pretty impressive...but why do you side with a bunch of weaklings when you could side with us" toguro said

"Is that all you have to say" Reece said rather blandly "why be with those who have no chance of winning when you could fight with real winners" Karasu said

Reece scoffed "in what way do you think I'll ever join your team what a joke I almost forgot to laugh" Reece said mocking them

"You how dare you" toguro said "I don't waste my time with idiots like you" Reece said then karasu narrowed his eyes swearing to himself that he would have her for himself

The toguro team left except karasu who was about to follow after Reece but Shiba saw the look Karasu gave Reece and got in his path

"did you forget that we were here too" Shiba said crossing his arms with a fake smile on his face "get out of my way" karasu said

"What...I couldn't hear you behind that mask over your mouth..." Shiba said his demeanor turning from playful to mocking

Then Shiba frowned and glared at Karasu "she will never belong to you Reece is her own person and she can beat your ass if she wants" Shiba said darkly

"Shiba come on let's go" Maria called out as Shiba chuckled darkly "don't think you'll live again if we cross paths" Shiba said a cruel sadistic smile on his face

Reece was relaxing in the sunlight outside in a clearing and closed her eyes listening to the sounds around her, she felt so at peace and decided to sing to herself

Reece: "🎶 We were both young when I first saw you I close my eyes and the flashback starts I'm standin' there On a balcony in summer air 🎶"

Reece: "🎶 See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns See you make your way through the crowd And say, "Hello" Little did I know 🎶"

Unbeknownst to Reece she was being watched intently by kurama who had heard her beautiful voice and saw her

Reece: "🎶 That you were Romeo, you were throwin' pebbles And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet" 🎶"

Kurama couldn't help but admire the way that her hair blew in the wind and how enchanting her voice was when she was singing

Reece: "🎶 And I was cryin' on the staircase Beggin' you, "Please don't go, " and I said Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone 🎶"

Reece: "🎶 I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes" 🎶"

Kurama leaned his head against the nearby tree as he was watching her a gentle and loving smile on his face as he swooned at her voice

Reece: "🎶 So I sneak out to the garden to see you We keep quiet, 'cause we're dead if they knew So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while, oh oh 🎶"

Reece: "🎶 'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet" 🎶"

Reece: "🎶 But you were everything to me I was beggin' you, "Please don't go, " and I said 🎶"

Reece: "🎶 Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess 🎶"

Then Reece abruptly stopped singing when she realized she wasn't alone "so how long are you gonna watch me Romeo" Reece said

Kurama had been caught by Reece so he walked out from behind the tree showing himself "I couldn't help but watch you sing my sweet Juliet" kurama said

"Flattery will get you nowhere kurama" Reece said glancing at him "not even to your own mate that's cold" kurama said with a slight teasing tone

"That karasu is supposedly interested in me what were you to do if he took me away from you" Reece asked kurama looking at him

Kurama had a displeased look on his face "I would kill him" kurama said bluntly this made Reece let out a slight laugh

"Someone sounds jealous" Reece said "Reece....may I call you kairi when we're alone" kurama said looking into her eyes gently caressing her face

Reece narrowed her eyes and they softened while gazing at kurama "will you let me kiss you" kurama said cupping her cheek gently

Reece gave a slight nod at his request and kurama traced her lips with his thumb "kissing you is more precious to me than anything" kurama said

Reece slowly closed her eyes as kurama leaned in and placed his lips on hers locking them in a passion filled kiss Reece wrapped her arms around his neck deepening the kiss and he wrapped his arms around her waist

Kurama pulled away from the kiss seeing Reece in a slight daze made him smile "I know we've only met a few days ago but I love you my mate"
