Healed by a Deal

Your father got up and got ready to visit you at the hospital. Just as he was about to leave the house, he heard the whisper again.

"William," it said. He looked around.

"Who's there?" he asked.

"Follow my voice," the voice said. He walked in the direction he heard the voice coming from.

"This way," the voice said. William stopped as he realized the voice was leading him to the basement. He cautiously opened the door.

"Closer," the voice said. William walked down into the basement.

"Getting warmer," the voice said. William looked around as he walked.

"I'm here," the voice said. William looked over at his work bench to see a black bear plush sitting there. He walked over to the plush and picked it up.

"Where did you come from?" he asked. He sighed.

"You look like someone I used to know..." he mumbled. There was silence for a few seconds.

"I'm sure (Y/n) would like to have you," he said, taking the plush upstairs with him. He walked out of the house and drove to the hospital. Once he was there, he made his way to your room. He walked in, seeing you were still down and out. He went over to you, touching your hand.

"My sweet baby...I'd give anything to hear your sweet voice again," he said. He soon looked down as the plush deep, red wisps emitted from it. The plush began to fade away as the wisps began to form into something much larger.

"Do not say such things, unless you're willing to make a deal with the Devil," a deep voice said. William looked up in pure horror upon seeing the wisps form into a massive, hellish-looking black bear with a golden hat and bow tie.

"No..." William said.

"Remember me?" the bear asked. William backed away.

"N-nightbear..." he stammered.

"Nightmare," said the bear as he stepped closer to your father.

"Why did you abandon me, Afton?" Nightmare asked. William continued to back away.

"What did Fredbear have that I didn't?" Nightmare asked.

"I'm sorry...I never meant for you to get scrapped," he said.

"But you let it happen. Why?" Nightmare asked. William was backed up to the wall.

"Your daughter's fate rests in my paws now," Nightmare said.

"Don't you dare touch my daughter," William snapped.

"Your daughter went through so much pain and suffering. All from your neglect. The very same neglect you projected onto her as a baby. Now, here your daughter lies, cold as death. Barely alive," Nightmare snarled.

"Nightbear please. I'm sorry. Please...don't hurt my daughter," your father pleaded.

"I never said I'd harm her. But what would it matter to you? Even I could be a better father to her than you ever could be," Nightmare said. He looked over William.

"You can't even keep track of your son, who put (Y/n) in this position to begin with," Nightmare growled.

"Keep track? What are you talking about? He's in jail! How would I not be able to 'keep track' of him?" William asked.

"No. Your creations have your son buried in your own backyard," Nightmare said.

"What?" William asked.

"Those Twisted creations that you've abandoned so long ago. They have your boy. They'll let him go...if you surrender (Y/n) over to me," Nightmare said.

"I'm not giving you my daughter," William said.

"Oh, but if you ever want to see her walking around well again, you will," Nightmare said.

"You're a monster," William said.

"To each their own," Nightmare said.

"What would you want with my daughter anyway?" William asked.

"A very close friend of mine is...locked away, you see. And sweet, little (Y/n) is the only innocent soul that I can use to free my dearest friend," Nightmare said.

"You want to take my daughter's soul to free a friend of yours? Not happening," William said.

"Not her soul, but a bit of her essence. However, if you do not hand her over to me, then perhaps your son will have to die," Nightmare said.

"I've already lost my wife and my other daughter. I'm not going to let you take the only family I have left," William said. Nightmare growled, having William in a chokehold just by his massive paw.

"You took my wife and the only daughter I ever had from me. You don't deserve pity. Because of you, I can't get my daughter back. I have a real shot of getting my wife back, and that child of yours is my only hope," Nightmare growled, his grip strengthening around your father's neck. William's eyes glazed with fear. Was he really about to die? Nightmare realized he had let his temper get the best of him and set William back down on his feet.

"Of course...(Y/n) will still live if you turn her over to me. Not that you deserve her," Nightmare said.

"Nightbear...what I did in the past...I am...so sorry for it all. I've changed. I really wish I could go back in time and change what I did, but...please don't hurt her," William said.

"My intentions aren't to harm her, no. The child hasn't done anything wrong. You, however," Nightmare said, looking down over William, his face only centimeters away from William's.

"You will rot in Hell for what you've done. What you did is unforgivable," he growled. William tried his best to keep from shaking. It seemed this bear was out to seek his revenge upon William after all these years.

"Now, if I were you, I'd leave (Y/n) and try to find (B/n) before something treacherous happens to him," Nightmare said. William's fear morphed into a glare towards the bear before he began to make his way for the door.

"Though, the moment you walk out that door is the moment you are agree to turn your daughter over to me. I shall restore her injuries in time...this is your fault, Afton. All of this, is your fault. Don't waste anymore time trying to protect your daughter after you've neglected her for so long. I'll take it from here," Nightmare said. Your father was hesitant, but he couldn't lose (B/n). What choice did he have? If Nightmare insisted on taking care of your injuries, there were no guarantees he was telling the truth, but there were also no promises on (B/n) still being alive if you weren't left with the bear.

"Fuck..." he said quietly.

"Tick-tock," Nightmare said. William quickly left the hospital room. He wanted the chance to save you and (B/n). He couldn't bear losing another child, no matter how old (B/n) was, and no matter how badly he fucked up. Once the door was closed, Nightmare set his paw on top of your head, leaning down to you.

"Poor child...though my physical form was so far away, I've seen all the neglect you've been through all your life. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to you sooner. I had to find my way back to you...with a body more than broken. I promise you, for as long as I exist, I will be here for you. Always," he spoke quietly. Red wisps began to surround you. He leaned closer to you.

"Wake," he whispered. He transformed back into his plush form and sat in your lap.
