You had yourself cleaned up in no time. You wrapped yourself in a towel and walked out of the bathroom. You went into your bedroom, seeing Nightmare standing there."Where's Fredbear?" you asked.
"I'm sure he'll be back. He and I had a little disagreement and he wasn't too happy about it," he said. You glanced over at your closet. Since these hellish creatures made themselves visible to you in the dream world, you were a bit paranoid. Nightmare went over to your closet, opening the door.
"No monsters here," he said. You laughed softly, going to your closet and retrieving some clothes. You stood still, thinking for a moment.
"I don't want to put you away. I want to give you a chance," you said.
"Thank you, love. You're a sweetheart," he said. You nodded and went back into the bathroom to change. Once you were done, you walked back into the bedroom. Nightmare picked you up.
"I really don't want to hurt you. You know that, right?" he asked.
"I know," you said. You didn't actually know, however, even if he tried, he couldn't anyway because of Fredbear.
"Good," he said, his nose touching yours.
"Now, it's late. Get to bed," he said, putting you back down on your feet. You crawled into bed. Nightmare shifted back into his plush form. You picked him up and cuddled him, soon falling asleep.
**A few hours later, Fredbear quietly walked into the room. He growled faintly as he saw Nightmare in your arms. He gently grabbed Nightmare and walked out of the room with him. He returned after a few minutes, turning into a plush himself and placing himself in your arms.
You hadn't woken up in the dream world yet to realize the difference, but in Fredbear's mind, that was the best thing. He didn't want Nightmare hurting you, even if Nightmare didn't actually want to hurt you.You were able to be in a much deeper sleep, now that you were home. You had slept up until the sun had risen. You woke up and looked down, seeing Fredbear's plush in your arms. You looked around. You didn't see Nightmare anywhere.
"Nightbear?" you asked. You got up and walked out of your room. You began to become stressed out as you walked around your house, looking for the bear. Your father walked upstairs after hearing you walking around.
"(Y/n), Honey, what's the matter?" he asked.
"I can't find Nightbear," you said.
"Okay, Honey. Calm down and get back to bed. I'm going to make you some food and I'll try to find your bear, okay?" he asked. You didn't want food at that moment. You wanted Nightbear. You sighed and went back to your room in defeat. You sat on your bed with your knees tucked to your chest. Fredbear shifted to his normal form and sat down beside you.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Where's Nightbear?" you asked.
"His name is Nightmare. I told you, that's not Nightbear anymore," Fredbear said.
"He will always be Nightbear to me," you said, glaring at him. Fredbear sighed.
"You can't get attached to him. He's only being nice to you because he wants to use you," Fredbear said.
"He said he wouldn't hurt me," you said.
"He's a liar, (Y/n)," Fredbear said.
"Or maybe you're just saying that because you're jealous," you snapped. His ears fell, his expression shocked.
"(Y/n)...I'm not jealous. I'm trying to protect you," he said.
"Yeah, right. Nightbear makes me happy and you won't even let me near him," you said, tears pricking your eyes.
