The Bottle

[Wayne and Wanda try to transition Sunny from a bottle to a sippy cup but struggle since Sunny is used to her baby bottle.]

Wayne strapped Sunny, Walton, Willis, Walsh, and Winston to his body.

"I'll take the babies to their dentist appointment," said Wayne as the werewolf pups drank their milk.

"Don't say dentist, it'll worry the pups," whimpered Wanda. "Say the tooth fairy instead."

"All right, I'll take the babies to the tooth fairy," said Wayne. He walked outside the room and bumped into Murray in the lobby. "Hello Murray!"

"Hi Wayne," said Murray. He looked at the pups. "They've grown over the past year."

"They sure did! I'm taking them to their first den- I MEAN tooth fairy appointment," chuckled Wayne. "Gotta get their teeth checked."

Murray noticed the boys drank milk from sippy cups, but Sunny drank from a bottle.

"How come Sunny's the only one with a bottle?" asked Murray curiously.

"She was addicted to her pacifier, so we figured we'd let her have the bottle for about another two months," explained Wayne, patting Sunny's head. "Her teeth ain't as sharp as the boys' teeth either."

Later...

Sunny wouldn't open her mouth at the dentist appointment.

"Sunny, you have to open wide," sighed Mr. Hyde.

"He won't hurt you," said Wayne as Sunny opened her mouth. "Good girl!"

"Let's see. No cavities, rightly positioned, and sharp enough for a female werewolf pup," said Mr. Hyde as Sunny closed her mouth. "All of your pups' teeth are good Wayne."

"Thanks Mr- I mean Dr. Hyde," said Wayne, picking Sunny up. Before Wayne left, Sunny's empty bottle dropped from his pocket and fell to the ground. "Oops."

Mr. Hyde picked the bottle up and said, "Ya still give your pups the bottle, huh?"

"Nope, only Sunny uses a bottle," said Wayne.

"Well, it's time to give up the bottle and move on to a sippy cup," sighed Mr. Hyde.

"But Sunny's barely a year old, and her teeth aren't that sharp yet. She's used to it too," whimpered Wayne.

"I suggest you transition Sunny now, or else she'll get used to it," explained Mr. Hyde.

Wayne went back to the room later.

"That took longer than I expected," said Wanda, putting Wendy in a baby swing. "What did he say?"

"He said Sunny has to stop using the bottle and use the sippy cup," said Wayne, getting a plastic bag. "I went to the store and got one."

The sippy cup was pink and had a smile on it.

The next night

Wayne and Wanda made Sunny decide between her bottle and her new sippy cup.

"The bottle or the sippy cup Sunny?" asked Wayne with a nervous smile.

Sunny looked at the sippy cup as Wayne and Wanda gasped, but she knocked it over instead and drank from her bottle.

"Sigh," said Wayne, picking the sippy cup up. "Sunny, the den-I MEAN tooth fairy said you have to stop drinking from your bottle and move on to a sippy cup."

Wayne took the bottle from Sunny's paw and put it inside the sink. Sunny gasped, then closed her mouth as her eyes started watering; she burst out crying as Wayne and Wanda shivered.
