[Wanda wants to find out what caused the hotel power to go out but realizes it may or may not be an evil monster.]

Everyone in the hotel did their everyday schedules. Mavis, Dracula, Ericka, and Johnny did their hotel duties, the Stein family ate lunch downstairs, Griffin, Crystal, Mummette, and Murray were at the pool, and the werewolf family chilled in their room.

Walden and Wesley played a video game.

"You try finding the red key while I try finding the blue key," said Walden.

"All right," said Wesley.

"Can we have a turn and play the game we want?" grumbled Wally.

"Yeah! You two have been playing this puzzle and adventure game since we woke up!" growled Wilbur.

"After this level!" said Walden.

Wanda changed into her red sleeping gown and stretched her arms.

"Mommy, why are you in pajamas? It's only midnight," said Winnie.

"Well Winnie, since we're not going out of our room, I might as well change into my sleeping gown," said Wanda.

The bat cronies in the meantime flew to the hotel.

"What are we even doing here?" asked Beneath.

"Since it's Halloween, I figured we should scare the monsters," chuckled Bela.

"Scare them? How?" asked Bash.

"We'll turn the power off, then we'll use our costume to scare 'em off if they try finding the power generator!" explained Bela.

Bela, Beneath, and Bash walked to the back of the hotel and found the power generator. Bela opened the power generator and cut the wires.

Everything in the hotel turned off. People stopped what they were doing and halted in the darkness.

"What happened?" whimpered Eunice.

"I think there's a power outage," said Frank.

"NO! WE WERE CLOSE TO BEATING THAT LEVEL!" cried Walden, putting his paws on the TV.

"Hopefully it saved our progress," whimpered Wesley.

To Dracula's relief, the intercom still worked.

"Nobody panic! There was just a power outage," chuckled Dracula nervously. "We suggest everyone goes back to their rooms and stays there until we get the power back on."

Wanda looked outside the window.

"That's odd. The power usually goes out when it's raining," said Wanda, scratching her head. "Wayne, I think someone or something turned the power off."

"Wanda. Drac said we have to stay in our room, so we're staying here with the kids," grumbled Wayne. He yawned and closed his eyes. "Go to sleep or watch TV."

"But the TV's out too!" whined Wanda.

"I meant on your phone or something," said Wayne, going to sleep.

Wanda sighed and turned her phone on, then put a movie on.

Later

Wanda was halfway through her movie. She turned her phone off and sighed.

"I'll find out what caused the power outage, even if I have to break the hotel rules," grumbled Wanda, getting up and getting a flashlight, then walking outside of the room. "The power generator must be outside."

Wanda tried to use the elevator, but it didn't work.

"Right, the power's out," said Wanda, using the stairs. When she went to the lobby, she realized how quiet it was. "Everyone must be in their rooms by now."
