Lover ~ Lucy Bronze

Part 6

Ellie's POV:

Today is the start of england camp. We have to be at St Georges park by 6AM. We have an hour until we need to leave. Me and lucy slept in our own rooms last night. Ive already packed, i just need to pack my toothbrush, shampoo and conditioner once ive finished using them this morning. Im filled with a mix of emotions, i feel excited, nervous and a little bit overwhelemed with whats to come as i have never been called up for England duty. Im glad i have Lucy to guide me; aswell as alessia, Tooney, katie zelem and mary earps who i already know from manchester united ( my old team).

I jump in the shower and brush my teeth, whilst im packing the last of my things i hear a knock on my bedroom door, followed by Lucy walking in.

"you ready to go?" she says smiling.

"yeah, just about" i say zipping my suitcase up.

"okay the cars outside, its picking me, you and Leah up. Beth and alessia are in a separate car" she says. "here let me get that" she says picking my suitcase up and rolling it to the car.

"thank you for getting my suitcase" i say once we are all in the car. My stomach starts doing backflips as the nerves set in. 
"thats no problem" she says. Me and lucy are in the back and leah is in the front with the driver.

"hey, youll be fine, dont overthink it. you have nothing to worry about" Lucy says, taking my hand and holding it for the rest of the journey. I just smile at her, my anxiety not letting an words come out.

Once we pull up we are greated by somone getting content of the team arrivals for social media. We check in and find our rooms. Me and lucy are roomed together, while leah has her own room since shes the captain. Me and Lucy make our way to our room. There is 2 double beds in the room.

"I DIBS THE BED NEAR THE WINDOW" lucy says throwing herself on the bed.

"your such a child" i say rolling my eyes and laughing at her. i walk around the side of my bed thats nearest lucy to plug my phone in as i forgot to charge it last night. Lucy reaches for my hand and pulls me so im sat on her knee.

"youve got this ellie, i can tell your nervous, i was at my first camp, but youll make the most amazing memories and ive got you every step of the way" she says and then kisses my forehead. i sigh with relief, lucy knows exactly what to say and she makes me feel so at ease.

"thank you luce, i feel so lucky to have you" i say.

"dito" she says and kisses me on the lips. We said we werent going to rush things but this feels right.

"right, we need to get moving or we will be late for the meeting" she says.

We leave the room after we have unpacked and make our way to the meeting. Everyone is lovely and welcoming. i can tell im going to love it here, just like lucy said.
