His touch felt so comforting, safe, and exciting. "No," she told herself, "you can't. Let it go." But as usual, she began to fight with herself. "But he's not them. And it's been years. Let. Him. In." She made the mistake of looking up at him amidst her thoughts. Before she could do anything, he had softly begun to kiss her. And what began as a slow peck on the lips, soon turned into a passionate act as she let his tongue intertwine with hers. It was making her melt.
She felt his hands move to her waist, while she kept hers around his neck. His kiss was full of power, but gentle at the same time.
He began to run his hands under her shirt as he parted from her mouth to kissing her neck. With no bra on, feeling her breasts in his hands was easy, and exciting for both of them. Alison let her head tilt back as he continued to play with her. "Oh my God," she thought, "I forgot how much I love this." And then, he let her go, and slightly backed away.
"I'm sorry," he began.
"Why?" she asked, somewhat annoyed.
"I shouldn't be doing this." She just looked at him, angry. "I don't, I mean, I want to. I just. . ."
"Don't want to hurt me?"
"Yeah. And honestly, you're the first woman since my wife that I've kissed." Adam sat back on the couch and hung his head. Part of him felt awful for being so forward with Alison; another part of him felt he was betraying his wife. "I'm sorry."
Alison, not one to not know heartache, was suddenly mad at herself for being angry at him for stopping. It's not like they were in bed and he stopped. And besides, she wasn't really ready to go down that road. But, FUCK! Him touching her felt so damn good. Not to mention his kiss felt wonderful. Almost one that could be pleasantly haunting. "Don't be sorry. It's okay."
"No. It's not. Here I've been all 'snap out of it' to you, and I can't take my own advice."
"Adam, your situation is a bit different. I can't even begin to imagine it." She just looked him in the eyes and said, "why don't you lay down and sleep. I'll get you up later."
"Thank you," he paused, "Alison?" he called after her as she got up off the couch.
"Yes?"
"It'll happen for you. You're heart's too big for it not to."
She just said good night and went to her room. "What does that mean?" she asked herself. Now she was wondering if he stopped playing with her because he thought he was too good for her. "Asshole," she mumbled, "this is why you swore them off."
