Alison felt something on the right side of her neck as she awoke the next morning.  She opened her eyes and turned her head realizing Adam was still in bed with her.  "Mmmm, morning," she said quietly and giddy.

"Morning sexy.  How you feeling?" He moved back and allowed her to turn her body to face him, her arms in line with her chest, hands folded under her chin.  He had a smile from ear to ear.  Not because they had enjoyed another night of ravishing one another, but because he had gotten through to her.  He had fully fallen for her.  He was in love with her.

Alison smiled, "Loved," she replied, "and it feels amazing."  She wrapped her left arm over his shoulder and pressed her lips to his.  When she pulled away, she smiled as did he, both of their eyes sparkling, and she had her arms tucked once again, with her hands folded.  He placed a hand on her bare hip under the blanket.

"Mmmm, yes.  Yes it is.  Alison. . ."

"Ally."

"What?"

She softly giggled, "You can all me Ally.  I only used Alison to hide.  And I'm done hiding.  I'm done cutting everyone out.  I need to live.  And as long as I have you, I can do that."

A smile that seemed to be a half a mile wide adorned Adam's face at her words.  "Okay.  Ally.  I have to tell you something." He saw the look on her face change from lit up to worried.  "Oh no.  Nothing bad.  I just have to tell you that one, I think one of us needs to take Jack for a walk," Alison giggled, " and two, waking up like this.  With you in my arms, your bare skin stuck to mine, I never want to wake up without you again."  And he rubbed her hip.

"You keep doing that, and Jack isn't going to get walked," and she smiled.

"Ha ha, okay, I get it.  I'll take him."  With that, Adam tossed the covers aside and started to get dressed.  "I won't be long," he told her.

"Coffee and breakfast will be ready by the time you come back," she told him.

"You don't have to. . ."

"I know.  I want to," Alison told him as she put her robe on and followed Adam out of her bedroom.

Adam leashed up Jack, grabbed her keys and started to exit the apartment and then turned back around.  "Ally?'

"Yeah?" she was right behind him.

He grabbed her by the back of her head and pressed his lips to hers; she was on her tip-toes with his force, and it felt amazing.  When he backed away, he looked her in the eyes, smiled, and said, "I love you."  Soft, sincere, truthful, meaningful, sexy, desirable, and so many other positive ways to describe his words.

Admittedly in shock, Alison could only say one thing to him.  "I love you."

This morning was so much more than the day after a fight or the day after a tender night of love making.  This was the morning that for both Adam and Alison, their lives were starting over.  And they only had each other to thank for that, and they would be together until the end of time.
