Sera couldn't focus in class. She found herself so wrapped up in this whole world of spirits and monsters that her life outside of it seemed so mundane.

There were so many things that needed her attention, her grades were slipping, she hadn't talked to Quinn in days, and her bedroom window was still shattered. She either needed to tell her landlord or find a way to fix it on her own, and she wasn't sure which would be cheaper.

Despite all of these issues, which months ago would have been stressful enough on their own, all she could think about was getting her eyes open.

Although this endeavor had a slightly different undertone than before, as much as she truly was enticed by the discovery and the newfound understanding of the universe that would come with her eyes being opened, she didn't want to admit it to herself, but she was also invested in seeing how far Saul would go if she pushed him. She was excited by the thought of defying him.

Despite her questionable motivations, that she absolutely refused to address any further, she knew that she had to find a way to open her eyes, and she knew that Saul wouldn't help, and she probably couldn't rely on Tyler.

Pulling out her laptop, she looked up 'mediums in my area'. She felt like an idiot, and hoped that no one actually checked what students did on the school wifi.

Lots of results came up, she was sure most of these were scams, but Tyler referred to her as a medium, and she didn't have anything else to go on.

As she flipped through the different profiles online, many of them were blatantly fake, really, all of them seem so 'wooey' from an outside perspective. If she had never seen the things she has seen with her own eyes, she'd have never believed it at all.

She came across a profile that seemed to stop her in her tracks, the woman's eyes staring back at her seemed to hold so many secrets. "Evangeline Zara", the name stared back at her dauntingly. 'This woman has the answers, ' Sera thought to herself. She took the address and plugged it into google maps. She would go to her directly after class.

After class, the heat of the day had already dissipated, and the town was bathed in the cool embrace of the evening.

The address led her to an old, creaky house nestled in the heart of the town. As she approached, the chill of the night seemed to seep into her bones, and an eerie feeling settled upon her.

The house itself looked like it belonged in a horror movie. Its weathered facade was adorned with gnarled vines, and the paint was peeling in eerie patterns. Flickering gas lamps illuminated the front path, casting unsettling shadows on the ground.

As Sera stepped onto the porch, the boards creaked beneath her feet, adding to the ominous atmosphere. She half expected to be greeted by eerie sounds and ominous music. Instead, she was met with a quirky sign that read, "Madame Zara's Mystical Marvels" in bold, swirling letters. The sign had seen better days, with a few letters missing and the paint chipping, giving it a comically spooky appearance.

She hesitated for a moment before knocking on the door. It swung open with a haunting creak, revealing a dimly lit room inside. Sera's heart pounded in her chest as she stepped inside, the door closing behind her with an eerie thud.

The interior of the medium's place was just as unsettling as the exterior. The air smelled of incense, filling the room with a mysterious aroma. The walls were adorned with strange symbols and faded paintings of ethereal landscapes. The only light in the room were lit candles on various surfaces, casting a soft, flickering light that seemed to dance with the shadows.
