Part V: Times of Peril
Third Person, Thalia Centered
"Okay I'm for sure ready this time, we can leave now."
Staring up at the girl the three on the floor shared a knowing glance before Lily responded, "You sure because you're pacing so fast I feel like the room is moving," she muttered.
Thalia stopped in her tracks shoes stuck to the floor like glue as she turned to glare at the other, arms folded across her chest while she sat down angrily on the bed. The only thing about the situation that annoyed her was the truth of it, in all honesty, it was the third time the proclamation came to light.
The first time she barely managed to get her shoes on before the plan was scrapped, the second time she got the shoes on only to sit on the floor and smoke for the first time in two weeks.
After another hour she was here, pacing for an amount of time she wasn't keen on knowing.
"It has been nearly twenty minutes of the pacing please tell me this is the last one," Justice exasperated while falling onto his side dramatically.
The boy beside him shoved his body away with a small smile, turning away to look at her Bailey interjected, "Ignore him, you're nervous which is completely logical however, the pacing for this long is making me think there should've been an updated copy of the DSM by now."
The blonde groaned loudly letting her head fall between her knees, eyes shut as she willed their voices to stop in her head.
After two days she was back, and she spent another four days either working until her hands blistered or bothering anyone she knew until the sun went down.
Until Bailey showed up yesterday she figured it was just nervous energy, maybe just her brain piecing together what words to say when she did build up the nerve to leave.
Sadly after a twenty-minute heated conversation that ended in an unwarranted diagnosis, if it weren't for Justice she would've laned the punch. The two kind of made up but with Bailey it was never easy, it took a lot of convincing to prove his faults within his perception.
Easy to say his medical terminology comments had been itching her skin in the worst way.
After a few minutes with her eyes closed her head finally started to clear again, lifting it back up to look at Lily, "Alright let's go," she heaved standing back up and grabbing her pack from the floor, halfway out the door before anyone else could move.
Within the past weeks, the air had gotten frigid, making it nearly impossible to step outside without a heavy jacket. Though winter had always been good for her, she vaguely remembered running away from her mom as she tried to put a coat on her.
