Location: Ace's Home Office, late night
Ace: (sitting at his desk, going through some engineering blueprints on his computer when a notification pops up) What's this?
(He clicks the notification, opening up the code reader application he had installed months ago. A red alert symbol is flashing)
Location: William's Home, living room
William: (gets a message on his phone and reads it, his eyes widen) Ace, it's about time something happened.
(He quickly dials Ace's number)
(Back to Ace's Office)
Ace: (picks up his ringing phone) William?
William: Ace, I just got the notification. The code reader has picked up something. Did you check it?
Ace: I'm looking at it right now. It's definitely unauthorized access, but deciphering what it did is going to be... tricky.
William: (pauses) How soon can you figure it out?
Ace: (scrolls through the complex lines of code on his screen) I can't make promises, but I'll do my best to trace it back and see what it affected. This could potentially be what we've been waiting for.
William: Alright, be careful, Ace. If it's Rebecca—or whoever it is—this could be a trap.
Ace: Don't worry. I've taken precautions. If anything happens, the system will auto-lock and notify the authorities.
William: (nods, even though he's not visible on the phone) Good. Keep me updated.
Ace: Will do.
(They hang up, and Ace turns his attention back to the computer. His fingers hover over the keyboard for a moment before diving into the lines of mysterious code. The room is silent except for the tap-tap-tapping of keys and the occasional sigh from Ace. Hours pass)
Location: Ace's Home Office, early morning
Ace: (rubbing his eyes, glancing at the clock, which now shows 4:30 a.m.) I need to make sense of this... Wait. What's this?
(He zeros in on a particular line of code that looks suspiciously like something he had seen before in the Malhare project files. He pulls up another screen to compare them side by side)
Ace: (to himself) This looks eerily similar... but it's modified, more advanced. What are you up to, Rebecca? Or is it even you?
(Just then, another alert pops up. The code reader has detected an attempt to erase the unauthorized code lines. It's been blocked automatically)
Ace: (leans back in his chair, staring at the screen) This is far from over.
Ace realizes that they're now in deeper waters. The intruding code has links to the past, and someone is actively trying to cover their tracks. The puzzle is getting more complex, and the stakes are high. With a deep breath, he prepares himself for the long investigation ahead.
