Location: The spacious joint office of Ace and William, filled with all manner of technological marvels, gadgets, and blueprints strewn about. A screen on Ace's main PC blinks as it receives the new set of coordinates.
Ace: (Reading the coordinates off the screen) Another set of coordinates. This time it's an industrial area on the outskirts of town.
William: Another warehouse, probably.
Ace: (Pauses, contemplating) You know, last time we both left, things got... complicated with that Malhare program. Maybe one of us should stay back to keep an eye on things.
William: Hmm, you might be right. So, who's playing watchdog?
Ace: Considering I have a better understanding of this program and can shut it down if it goes rogue, I should probably stay. Plus, I don't like the idea of it being active without supervision.
William: Alright, fair point. I'll head to the warehouse then. What are you arming me with?
(Ace hands William a miniature control shocker, a device resembling a small remote.)
Ace: Here, take this mini control shocker, just in case you run into any animatronics acting up.
William: (Takes the shocker and puts it in his pocket) Got it. And you?
Ace: I have mine right here. (Shows his own control shocker) I’ll also set up some security measures on the system so I get notified immediately if anything unusual happens.
William: Alright, sounds like a plan.
(William heads toward the door, turning back once more before leaving.)
William: Be careful, Ace. Whoever's doing this is cunning.Ace: You too, Will. Let's hope this ends today.
(William exits the office, leaving Ace alone with his thoughts and his computers. Ace takes a seat and starts setting up multiple layers of security checks and alerts. He also keeps an eye on the Malhare program, still safely contained on the secure laptop, just in case.)
As William drives off to the new coordinates, Ace can't shake off the feeling that they're running out of time. The mouse cursor hovers over the Malhare program's icon. His finger twitches above the mouse button. For a moment, he contemplates shutting down the whole thing. But the thought of losing a lead makes him reconsider.
Ace: (Muttering to himself) Come on, whoever you are, make your move.
In a room filled with the soft hum of machines, Ace settles in for a long vigil, watching, waiting.
