Location: The same shared office. The atmosphere is tenser than ever; you can almost feel the electricity in the air. The secure laptop sits untouched on its desk, almost as if it's a Pandora's Box that neither man wants to open. Yet it's on their minds.
William: (Pacing back and forth, visibly stressed) Ace, we've been at this for weeks. We're running out of time and options.Ace: (Sitting at his main PC, hesitating) I know, Will. I know. The only way to crack this is to boot it up on my main rig, but that opens a can of worms I'm not sure we're prepared for.
William: We don't have a choice, Ace. You know that as well as I do.
Ace: Yeah, I do.
(Ace takes a deep breath, ejecting the USB from the secure laptop and inserting it into his main PC. His fingers hover over the mouse, hesitation filling the air.)
William: (Pauses his pacing) You can do this, Ace.
Ace: Here goes nothing. (Clicks "Run" on the program)
(The screen of his main PC goes dark for a moment. Both men hold their breath. Moments later, the interface they've grown to fear and loathe appears, the 3D model of the rabbit rotating ominously.)
Ace: Time to dive deep. (He starts typing furiously, lines of code scrolling past on the screen at breakneck speed.)
(Minutes feel like hours. Sweat beads on both their foreheads. Finally, Ace breaks through the lock-down protocol.)
William: You got it?
Ace: (Exhales deeply) Yeah, I'm in.
(He navigates through files, directories, until finally he stumbles upon something that makes him freeze.)
William: What is it?
Ace: (Turns the monitor so William can see. On the screen is a list of files, each named after an animatronic they've created or worked on.) This isn't just a rogue AI, Will. It's like someone's trying to... replicate all our work, but infuse it with this corrupted AI.
William: (Eyes widening) Do you realize what that means?
Ace: Yeah. If someone activates this, we're looking at our animatronics coming to life, but not in the way we intended. They would be...uncontrollable, possibly even malicious.
William: We have to shut this down. Now.
Ace: First, we need to trace back where this came from. We can't just shut it down without knowing who's pulling the strings.
William: Agreed. But let's hurry, Ace. We're in uncharted waters here, and I don't like it.
Ace: Neither do I, Will. Neither do I.
The tension in the room doesn't lift. Both men know they've uncovered something dangerous, something that could potentially change the course of their lives and endanger everyone they care about. And the clock is ticking.
