Kristi's POV:
We walked into Isabella's room and looked around. Andres held my hand as we stood behind Mirabel.
"Isa? Heey!" Mirabel called out. "I know we've had our issues, but I'm...Ready to be a better sister...to you...So we should just....hug....Let's hug it out."
"Hug it out?" Isabella was sitting on her bed, which was being lowered by some vines. She glared at me. We didn't have the best relationship either, to be honest. Not sure why she didn't like me. I try to fix it sometimes, but it never works. "Luisa can't lift an empanada," she picked one of the flowers from off the vines and looked at it. "Mariano's nose looks like a squashed papaya." she crushed the flower before looking at us. "Have you lost your mind?!"
"Isa, I feel like your upset...And you know what cures being upset? A warm embrace!" Mirabel replied, attempting to approach her sister's bed, but Isa made vines appear in front of her, blocking her path.
"Get out." Isabella said firmly, growing a flower over Mirabel's mouth. I frowned as I looked at them, Andres continuing to stand next to me. "Everything was perfect! Abuela was happy! The family was happy! You wanna be a better sister? Apologize for ruining my life." Mirabel narrowed her eyes at her. "Go on. Apologize."
Mirabel gulped and forced out an apology. "I....am....sorry." I gave a small hopeful smile. I was hoping this would be the start of a hug. Isa gave a smug smile. Then, Mirabel said something she shouldn't have said. "That your life is so great!"
"Mirabel!" I exclaimed in a hushed voice.
"Out. All of you." Isabella said, using vines to push us away.
"Wait! Fine! I apologize!" Mirabel exclaimed. "I wasn't trying to ruin your life! Some of us have bigger problems to worry about, you selfish, entitled, princess!"
"Selfish!?" Isabella gasped angrily. She walked after Mirabel. This was not going well...
"I've been stuck being perfect my entire life! And the only thing you have managed to do is mess things up!" Isa screamed.
"Nothing is messed up! You can still marry that big, dumb, hunk!" Mirabel declared.
"I never wanted to marry him! I was doing it for the family! I wanted to marry Francisco! But Kristi is taking him away from me!"
"What...?" I said in a stunned voice. "Y-you wanted to marry Francisco....That's why you were treating me that way...."
At that moment, a cactus popped up in between Mirabel and Isabella. Isabella's eyes were wide as she panted. Andres, Mirabel, and I stared at her, wide-eyed.
"Oh my gosh, Isa...That is a very serious confession...Ok, get over here. Bring it in," Mirabel said, holding out her arms. But Isabella was still staring at the cactus, not paying attention to her.
"Isabella...? Are you ok?" I asked slowly.
"I just made something unexpected." Isabella sang, kneeling down in front of the cactus. She poked at it, which resulted in it growing more branches. "Something sharp, something new."
"Uh, Isa, this is the part where we-" Mirabel said, but Isabella wasn't paying attention to her.
Isabella picked up the cactus and looked at it with a smile. "It's not symmetrical or perfect. But it's beautiful. And it's mine!" I smiled at her. "What else can I do?"
Isabella looked at me and took my hand, pulling me along after her. I was dragging Andres along with me. Mirabel was calling after her but she didn't listen.
