Third Person POV:
It was six years later. The years had been wonderful for the Madrigal family. Delores and Mariano, as well as Isabella and Francisco were now married. Isabella already had her first child. A little boy named Mateo. He was two years old now. Delores was pregnant with her first child. A little girl. She was due in just a month.
And Kristi? Well, she was now having her first babies. To the joy and surprise of the family, the young woman was having triplets. Two girls and a boy. Just like her papa and tias.
The family stood in Kristi's room, as she lay in her bed, holding her newborn son and one of her daughters. Andres sat on the bed beside her, holding their second daughter. Bruno smiled proudly as he stood near his daughter, son-in-law, and, his newborn grandchildren.
"Congratulations, papa.." Kristi smiled up at him. "Come say hello to your grandchildren."
Bruno nodded slowly, unable to stop smiling, as he slowly walked closer to the bed. Andres stood up and walked over, smiling, as he handed him his daughter. Tears came to Bruno's eyes as flashbacks of when he first held a newborn Kristi in his arms came to his mind.
"What are their names?" Camilo, who now, was now 22, asked. His wife, Louise, chuckled, shaking her head. Her husband could be really funny sometimes. Even without meaning to be.
"Do you want to tell them, mi amor?" Andres asked his wife.
"We'll tell them together." Kristi responded, smiling.
He nodded and looked up at the family. "We've decided to call the little girl you are holding, Bruno, Carmen. Carmen Marie." Bruno's eyes went wide.
"That's a beautiful name.." Pepa smiled, wiping tears away from her eyes.
Kristi smiled up at her papa. "For our son, well, his name is Juan. Juan Bruno." Bruno's eyes were wide.
"We decided to name them after Senor Juan and Senora Carmen." Andres explained.
"Little Juan is also named after you, papa." Kristi replied quietly.
Bruno had tears forming in his eyes. They had named two of their children after his best friends...And, not only that, but they had named their son after him...He smiled as he looked from his daughter to his son-in-law. He couldn't find any words to say. "Thank you.." he finally said in a quiet tone.
"What about your first born?" Delores asked.
"Well," Kristi looked up at Andres, who nodded with a smile. "We've decided on the name, Julie."
"Julie May." Andres replied.
"Oh...What a beautiful name..." Mirabel smiled brightly, as her husband, Rafael, had his hands on her shoulders, smiling.
"Who came up with them?" Antonio asked.
"Well, it was a little bit of both." Andres answered, looking over at the twelve year old boy. "It was pretty easy coming up with the names for Juan and Carmen. But Julie...it was a bit of a struggle."
"When we finally thought of the name Julie, we instantly knew it was perfect for her." Kristi replied, smiling down at her sleeping daughter. She then looked at Andres, who nodded, smiling. The two then turned to Bruno. "Papa, you once said that, one day, we'd know what you went through when a miracle smiled up at us..."
"Well, we understand now. We don't just have one little angel. We have three....Our little miracles..." Andres finished for his wife.
Bruno smiled softly, knowing exactly what his son-in-law and daughter meant. In truth, Bruno couldn't be prouder of his little girl. Who would have thought that Bruno Madrigal, a man who was once disliked by the whole town, a man who was thought to be the reason bad things happened, would one day be a proud father of a wonderful young woman? Or, a proud grandfather of three little joys?
Who knows the the future holds for the little triplets? No one can say for sure. Not even Bruno. Little Julie, Carmen, and Juan, all have their whole lives ahead of them. But, something would happen in only six years from now, that would turn their lives upside down....
