Anywhere you went to, the only thing you could smell was just sweats, lust, and alcohol reeking in the air. People were dancing. No one could even see the LED floor at this point with how packed the club was right now. He remembered the first time he went to such a place, and he felt like he was the most alive back then when he hit the dance floor.

"Eren! I am not supposed to be here!"

"It's fine! We are just going to dance, that's all!"

Yes, he was so much alive for sure when he had you there in his arms.

You always giggled when he touched you, not inappropriately, of course. He would sneak you out inside the club that was supposed to be for twenty-one years old adults while you just hit the age of twenty back then. It was simple for him, as long as he didn't let you drink too much and kept you close, as long as you were around, going to the nightclub once a month was a shared routine that you both like to repeat.

Right now, he didn't count anymore how many shots that he had gulped down to torture his throat, but he did finish yet another successful concert, so he celebrated it by drinking as much as he wanted. It was not like you would pop out of nowhere to stop him anyway (although deep down, perhaps he would be enthralled to see you).

No, why would he? Two years and he had never been this happy. He didn't have to worry about you in his hometown, waiting for his message that this concert was a major success, just like the others. He didn't have to think much that someone wanted his attention or needed him to go home while he could be free, like now.

But he asked himself sometimes how he could still find you, too often to his liking. He would see you in his peripheral vision, light catching the familiar strands of hair that he used to love playing at the end of it all those years ago. And that got worse when he didn't have the poisonous liquid flowing in his blood.

He loved to drink, not too drunk because he hated himself when he got home and couldn't remember all the shits that happened the whole night before. Yet he made sure that he drank enough that he could be tipsy and mind swirling back and forth about music and gigs as he tried to press you to the back of his mind.

Just like now, he was still trying to get lost, not wanting to remember anything about the life that he had with you. And for sure, he thanked the universe for having someone that could make him forget, someone that kept him feeling like he had nothing he should be worried about.

His emerald eyes were fleeting to a petite blonde girl, who was now twisting and turning her hips to the side, hypnotising him with how seductive her moves were just now. And that was the only thing he needed to completely forget about you. Just this one slap of reminder, and he was back to the present.

This was his life now, in a steady relationship with someone who every woman wanted to be and every man wanted to have. Christa Lenz, that was her stage name. She had this innocent look on her face that man's fantasy would all be just about wanting to ruin her. And when he thought about it, he could only chuckle inside his mind, knowing for sure that the innocent facade was just an act.

She turned to face him, still moving her hips to the beat of the music, ignoring all the gawks that she received from every corner of the room as she focused on him. Her ocean eyes challenged him to get there and show the world how perfect the two of them were.

Eren loved competition, he loved the thrill, and perhaps that was why he immediately gulped down another shot before running toward her, leaving the premium lounge where he spent most of his time before. Loud cheers followed his action as he swooped her into his arms, planting a kiss on her neck as he threw a dagger on every man and woman who looked at her with lustful eyes.
