023: Slow Burn

Lilli was hiding in a room when Grail walks in. He spots her and shoots at her, but it was a mirror. Grail turns going to shoot at her again but Bessie comes out of no where distracting him. Sarah then appears at the door.
"Run!" Lilli says, as Bessie runs over to Sarah, but they linger at the door. "I said run!"
Sarah and Bessie run as Lilli turns back to Grail. The pair start to fight before Lilli kicks Grail giving her to opportunity to run up the steps. She gets to the top to find a wooden plank going to the other side of the stage. She climbs onto it running to the other side, coming to an abrupt stop as she notices the massive gap between the end of the plank and the other side. She turns around to see Grail. Before she could react Grail stabs her.
"Lilli!" She hears Tewkesbury, who had seen the whole thing from the floor, shout.
Grail pulls it away only to find no damage, that's when both him and Lilli realsied it was the fake knife Mae had used on her days before. Lilli takes the moment of shock from Grail to punch him in the face. Grail punches her back knocking her to the floor, thats when he grabs a hook. He starts swinging it as Lilli stands up. He hits Lilli on the elbow and then around the head, causing Lilli to fall to the floor, Grail kneels besid eher, looking down at her.
"What places we find ourselves in. What places indeed." Grail says,as Lilli takes notice of something behind him before looking down to the floor to see Tewkesbury, Enola, Liam all fighting Grail's men. "I always loved the theater. I used to dream I'd end up on the stage."
After coming up with her plan Lilli rolls of the plank of wood.
"Lilli!" She hears Tewkesbury and Liam shout.
Lilli grabs hold of a rope pulling it down with her. This causes the hook to hook under Grail and lift him up till he hits his head on the ceiling. Lilli harshly lands on the stage before Grail followsins behind. Lilli sits up looking at Grail before coming face to face with Tewkesbury. She stands up and he rushes towards her, hugging her tightly.
"Are you all right?" Tewkesbury asks.
Lilli whimpers slightly from the pain in her head as they pull away, none the less she nods her head as Sarah rushes over and grabs the papers that Grail had somehow managed to grab in all the chaos.
"You were made to fight." Lilli tells him.
"So were you." Tewkesbury says, taking note of the blood on her head.
Lilli smiles before seeing her brother and Sherlock stood together. Sherlock nods at her, which she nods back before walking over and hugging her brother tightly. The hug was cut short by someone clapping.
"Congratulations." The person says, as they all look to him.
"Lord McIntyre.What are you doing here?" Enola asks, as Lilli slowly walks back over to her and Tewkesbury.
"I was summoned." Lord McIntyre says, holding up a piece of paper. "Your brother knew that I would want to see the right people shown justice." That's when he looks to Lilli. "And I don't know how to thank you, for retrieving this goverment property, and, uh, bring this killer to light. A rot amongst our ranks. The world will know the name Lilli Wilson. I will make sure of it. Lestrade, arrest that girl."
"What?" Lilli asks, seeing Lord McIntyre pointing at Sarah. "She's done nothing wrong."
"On what charge, sir?" Lestrade asks.
"Theft." McIntyre says.
"All she stole from you was the truth." Enola says.
"She toke personal information, which she used for extortion and blackmail." McIntyre replies, grabbing Sarah by the arm and dragging her over to Lestrade. "Which is why she will serve her time."
"Ah. But you are mistaken." Liam tells him. "She was not your blackmailer."
"I summoned you here to draw that very person out." Sherlock adds. "The accounting was masterful. A tangle of roots, but all pointed one pocket. One person receiving the fruit of their schemes."
"Hearing everything." Lilli says.
"Seeing everything." Enola adds.
"Ignored for years." Elizabeth says, from beside Bessie.
"Playing them all." Liam says.
"It's all a game." Lilli whispers, as realisation hits her. "Miss Mira Troy."
"Absurd. I don't believe it." Lord McIntrye says.
"It's remarkale what can be done when people underestimate you." Mira says, appearing behind McIntyre.
"And then came the problem. William stole the contract." Enola says.
"He threatened to cut off your money train." Sherlock adds.
"And you couldn't have that." Lilli adds.
"You hired Grail to retreive the document, but things got out of hand, so you tried to point us to Lord McIntyre. A rare misstep in your game... Moriarty." Liam says, causing Mira to smirk.
"Such a shame our divertissment has to end, Mr Wilson and Mr Holmes." Mira says. "I was so enjoying it. And you Lilli and Enola."
"Miss Troy, you have been behind this?" McIntyre asks.
"Of course, you never can find the proper staff. I only wanted the agreements back." Mira says, before looking at Lilli. "Though I couldn't be seen to question William myself, you were so obliging. Just a pity he was smarter and braver than I'd expected. They both were. Their deaths were so unnecessary. But super intendent Grail was somewhat of a blunt instrument."
"You! How day you take advantage of your position." McIntrye says.
"I take advantage? What were my advantages?" Mira asks. "Treated like a common servant when I have twice the mind of yours. Any of yours. Why shouldn't I have a share of your ill-begotten riches and punish you at the same time. Why shouldn't I be rewarded for what I can do? Where is my place in this... society? I am a women. I cannot join clubs, I cannot own shares, I cannot advance myself as they can. So I found my own way. And it was fun."
"Lestrade, take her away." McIntrye tells him.
"Yes sir." Lestrade says, before freezing and smiling awkwardly. "On what charges?"
"Extortion, blackmail, murder. Go." McIntrye tells him.
"yes, yes." Lestrade says.
"Such a shame our little dance has to end." Mira says, looking at Lilli and Enola as she gets handcuffed. "For now at least. Perhaps we shall take to the floor again.
Mira gets taken away and McIntrye burns the papers.
"No! No!" Sarah says, rushing over to where McIntyre had plces the burning papers.
"Well, there. That's that then." McIntyre says. "I accidently burnt my own prperty. What of it?"
"You are corrupt, sir." Tewkesbury speaks up.
"And complicit in the deaths of hundreds of match girls." Elizabeth adds.
"Where is your proof?" McIntrye asks. "Good. So... back to busniess."
"Sir, you cannot..." Tewkesbury starts.
"Tewkesbury." Liam cuts him off, as McIntyre starts to leave. "Paitence."
Once McIntyre had left, Bessie and Elizabeth sit with Sarah.
"Glory be." Lestrade says.
The group continue to watch as the papers slowly burn.
