New characters added in Character Sketch- 2. Check it out! ______________________________________ The four siblings were sitting in the car on their way to the Raichand Residence. Arjun was busy on his phone on the front seat beside the driver while Vansh and Rishi,on the backseat were bickering over whether to order food online or go to a restaurant tonight.
Alongside them Meher was just sitting there pretending to be busy watching the traffic filled streets outside the window. Her thoughts were totally driving her crazy. She got what she had wished all her life. A family. An unconventional one but still a lovely family. But would she ever be able to call it her family? Would she ever be able to be as comfortable around the two men as Vansh was? Or for that matter would she ever be able to regard Vansh as anything more than a sensation? Too many questions!
Then her eyes fell on the oxidised bracelet in her hand. A fine piece of art. A thin bracelet with stars and moons encircling it's baseline all along. Simple yet elegant. Inexpensive yet precious. A touching gift from Vansh. He told her how he asked to pull over the cab on their way to the orphanage to get her this. He also promised her that he would definitely give her something better ( which she was sure meant something expensive) when they reached Mumbai. She wished she could tell him that this first gift of his meant the world to her. She wouldn't trade it off for anything!
After the chain that she had from ever since she was born, this bracelet was the first thing she could call a gift. Rest everything from her clothes to her hair clips were charity. She herself was a charity case.
Though she was unsure about everything going on, she was happy about one thing. She didn't leave Dehradun with any sort of regret. Yes! She hugged Mrs. Ahuja and Ruhi before leaving. They were like a mother and sister she never deserved. She smiled at the memory. She would cherish their embrace for the rest of her life.
"Meher" Rishi called.
That brought her out of her thoughts. "Ha?" she asked abruptly.
Rishi smiled and said. "Ghar aa gaya. Aaja!"
Meher looked out. They were in a garage. How did she not notice that they entered the house?
She shrugged and went out. Arjun and Vansh were already moving out. Arjun had wrapped an arm around Vansh while he was continuously talking about something. They looked so good together like a father-son duo.
Rishi saw the longingness in her eyes. His heart went out for her. The little bean had missed so much in life. But not anymore. He would make sure if it!
He wrapped his arm around her. She glanced up at him. He gave her a teasing smile and said,
She smiled shyly but quickly covered it with a smirk and moved on. _____________________________________
To say that she was surprised would be an understatement. Actually understatement of the year. The size of the house thrilled her. This was not a house. It was a bungalow. These people seemed well-of . If only she knew how well of they were.
The door opened and standing in front of her was a beautiful lady with a plate in her hand. From all the Hindi movies she had watched she knew it was an aarti ki thaal. But what fascinated her more was this lady. If she didn't know better she would have confused her with an angel.
