( Gil's POV )

Boy was it fun to make fun of Matthew. It was even better to watch him blush and sputter and he tried to hide behind an eaten ice cream cone.

He was pretty difficult sometimes, but it was good to see a Cancer who fits into their sign. Speaking of a Cancer he was silently walking next to me right now looking at the clouds and trees as I went on about, I'm not sure what I'm talking about anymore.

It was fun to talk to him, because no matter how much he acted like he wasn't listening, you knew he was.

"It's great having an accent! I mean Hell, one time the good ol' trio went to Washington! We stood on the steps of the Lincoln monument and just spoke random, made up words to people. I even struck up a conversation with a dude who claimed to speak German!" I couldn't help but laugh as I said the next part. "I didn't speak real words, but he "translated" the whole thing!" Bursting out with laughter I turned and watched as Matthew looked at me giving a timid smile that showed his amusement.

Pretty soon we were crossing in front of this building that pretty much looked like a Catholic school. Shuddering I remembered when I went to one of those.

It was pretty bad.

What shocked me even more was turning the corner to see Francis sitting on the steps with a bored expression on his face. Halting, Matthew squeaked and nearly ran into me. Of course I could see annoyance on his face as he softly said "What are you doing?"

Stepping back I turned to him, looking awesome and not feeling nervous at all. "Uhh. Francis."

He stared at me blankly though, so I was pretty sure he didn't understand what was going on. I pointed to the corner with the steps, aimed on making him feel dumb. "Francis." I repeated again in a whisper.

I swear to God his stare got even more blank before he raised a questioning eyebrow. "So?"

"God you're an idiot! He's sitting on the steps." I said, maybe a little loudly from the whispering I've been doing, causing Matthew to jump and look exasperated. "I thought you wanted to talk to him!" He said back softly with a frown.

Pausing I realized his point and nodded strolling around the corner again. "Hey Francis!" I chirp happily feeling Matthew quickly follow behind me.

I watched as Francis's head snapped up and he stared at me in shock, then stared past me at Matthew. Blinking he seemed to be more focused on my company. Finally his eyes landed on me again. "Bonjour mon ami. What are you doing here?"

Blinking I couldn't help be notice the accusatory tone in his voice as his eyes moved from me to Matthew and back again. "I was looking for you! I came here to talk." I said watching his expression. He wanted to say something.

"Ah, oui. Naturally. Bonjour Matthieu." Looking behind me with a frown as Matthew offered a small nervous smile he softly muttered "Hello...."

We stood there for a moment in awkward silence before Matthew turned to me chewing on his bottom lip. It was a nervous habit he had and it was so unawesome. It left his lips all chapped and sore, I could tell. "I'm going to go and sit at the playground we walked past earlier, leave you two talk."

Blinking in surprise I just nodded my head. "Okay. I'll swing around when I'm done. You have fun now shorty." Grinning at him I watched him offer a small smile and nod before quickly walking away. Stepping closer to Francis, I leaned against the building and sighed. "So how've you been."

"Gilbert, why did you bring him?" Francis immediately shot back, the usual 'gentlemen' attitude gone. Frowning I crossed my arms. "I brought him because he helped me find you. You're related, aren't you?"
