Chapter V : Choices

3rd POV

Night fell once more as the group made their way into the church only to have their ways blocked by demons.

As the group stood guard the h/c haired maiden held a calm neutral look stepping forward lowering her head down releasing a deep breath.

"Bow."

Y/N ordered making the demons' eyes widen in shock while they all bowed in their knees submitting in fear with the group staring at her in surprise completely speechless at the sudden confidence.

"Take us to your master."

The maiden ordered watching the demons lead them to the church as they followed entering the house of God finding the man praying on the altar muttering words.

While the group entered Y/N used her powers to seal the door making sure they won't be disturbed before turning back at the man watching Tera approach him.

"Emmanuel,your worth is no longer useful to her.

You have to help us,create more night creatures to fight her.

Please."

Tera pleaded as the h/c haired maiden narrowed her gaze growling trying to keep herself from lashing out with her fists clenching that her knuckles started turning white.

Then the Abbot let out a shuddered breath slumping down on the altar in defeat while the blond woman held him by the shoulders reassuring him.

While the man sobbed Y/N sighed taking a seat glancing at the murals observing the tainted glass.

"It's pointless,our fates remained in stone with our ends written in blood.

She'll have her way to rule over us even if it meant paying with blood,I was only trying to do what was right.

And I only ended up murdering countless lives for the sake of safety and security,this is all...hopeless."

The Abbot cried as the blond woman rubbed her shoulders and Y/N hummed thinking of a way until an idea came over her.

"I think I might've figured out our key to victory,but I'm not entrusting this power to a man who follows a false god like a zealot."

Y/N answered standing up while she approached the black man holding out her hand with a serious look and the sounds of rumbling alarmed everyone except for the h/c haired maiden who remained calm.

"Hurry,while I'm keeping her at bay."

The maiden insisted as Edouard hesitantly grabbed her hand creating a white ethereal glow between the two of them leaving the man completely in awe.

"I'm granting you the power to create demons and forge weapons out the shadows,use it to its full extent."

The h/c haired maiden urged gazing deeply at Edouard's neon blue eyes as he nodded with the glow sending a strong shockwave around them making everyone brace for impact.

Then moments later with everything calming down Y/N glanced at the priest who looked at her in complete shock while he gazed in fear at her glaring e/c eyes filled with pure hatred.

Meanwhile

At the Versailles Palace the winged vampire patiently waiting with a coy smile as the other followers stood beside her watching something in the forest.

Then gold light flashed in the darkness as thunderous hooves stomped through the forest with a golden chariot driving between two frontal and rear guards of vampires riding their horses.
