Godzilla and Mothra: Monsters Unite!

Chapter 8 - No Chances

The three kaiju exchanged worried glances with each other. Mothra had a bad feeling about this, Destroyah was a tough opponent her attacks weren't going to land a scratch on him they would only end up hurting her. Looking at Godzilla who took a deep breath she wondered if all three of them would even make it out alive. A few feet away from them was the destructive Destroyah and a showdown was about to start, Godzilla is going to have to think of something fast before they perish.

"It's over Destroyah!" The giant reptile lunged himself at his opponent which surprised Anguirus and Mothra because they weren't expecting him to attack so suddenly without any form of defense. Mothra was worried sick now.

Anguirus rolled passed the two fighting monsters and stayed behind Destroyah getting ready in case the enormous crustacean falls back, he would land on Anguirus' spikes giving Godzilla the leeway to keep him in place. 

However, there was something else the trio had forgotten which is bound to happen any second now, and it was catastrophic. Godzilla had to get out of there.

Grabbing each other's limbs, the two kaiju tried their best to stay on the ground if one of them loses their balance it would make it easier for the other to score a victory. Unfortunately for Godzilla, his opponent was just too heavy and the enlarged claws gripping onto his shoulders were starting to push him down further. The giant reptile let out a roar of despair as Destroyah sank his teeth into the coated neck that other kaiju struggled to get ahold of in battle. 

"Godzilla no please- Mothra was at the brink of collapsing from fright as she flew towards them in an attempt to stop the duel.

The King of Monster's efforts were in vain as Destroyah threw him to the ground and hissed at the trio. To him, this battle was pointless none of them stood a chance and they still decided to intervene. It was amusing to say the least, now Mothra was on her way to rescue her dear friend.

"It's no use time to decimate this place once and for all!" Destroyah glanced at Mothra and dodged her attack leaving the moth in bewilderment. 

"Stop you don't know what you're doing!" Was all Mothra could say things seemed hopeless now Destroyah was going to get what he wants even if it means obliterating everything at once. If only she had the strength to bury him in the ground she was too fragile.

The giant crustacean flew to the clouds watching the three kaiju struggling to get on their feet. This is it Godzilla I told you this day would come. Not far from where the situation unfolded was Gigan, laughing at Godzilla who was slowly healed by Mothra. All the trouble of bringing them to this part of the forest paid off, the King of Monsters was down and Destroyah was about to finish them off, he couldn't wait to see it live in action. While Destroyah was charging up, Gigan waved at the trio and worded 'farewell' to which Anguirus snapped making Mothra a little annoyed during the healing process she was trying her best to concentrate.

A buzzing sound startled Gigan as he looked to his right to see Destroyah getting ready to strike their opponents. The space kaiju timidly flew over to him admiring the power that Destroyah possessed it was no wonder the galactic alliance highly respected Destroyah he was beyond their level of tactics and strength. The horn on his head was now glowing a bright orange as Destroyah looked down and let out a call of warning which frightened Gigan this was a sign that something devastating was about to happen. Gigan stopped at his tracks thinking about it and the outcome of this battle. He desired such power that he could use to prove the other kaiju wrong about his capabilities.
