Godzilla and Mothra: Monsters Unite!

Chapter 9 - Decision

"Listen Godzilla, how are you going to lead the titans when you can't even control your emotions? You should've seen the look on your face when dear Mothra almost fell into my hands. The bug she is! What's your priority huh?" This was his arch enemy, one that Godzilla will never stop tracking until he's down for good. Kaiju should never have to live in fear because of one individual, Godzilla will make sure of that.

"Don't insult her like that you're the bug you literal exoskeleton freak! Go take a look in the mirror and don't come back to me crying!" Raising his fist Godzilla punched Destroyah directly in the face sending him flying backward with a loud thud.

While the fight was ongoing, Gigan hovered above every single kaiju in sight without them noticing; Mothra was busy tending to the huge bruise on Anguirus' back, it was a horrific sight but Gigan didn't feel guilty at all it was part of the progression, the other two were in a brawl and Gigan didn't dare to intervene he knew Destroyah could handle the giant reptile. 

So Gigan decided to find something else to do and that was to make matters worse for tired Mothra, once this was over there would be no one to stop them from carrying out their final plan. 

The space kaiju flew towards Mothra unleashing his hooked blades. You won't get away this time Mothra. He grinned seeing Mothra unaware as he lifted his arm and barreled towards her carefully.

"Not so fast Gigan!"

Mothra dodged his attack causing Gigan to fly into one of the boulders. It was embarrassing Gigan should've known that Mothra had sharp senses and hearing. Besides that Anguirus was safe but his bruise was awful, there was a burnt patch on his back and it stung him. There wasn't much Mothra could do, his breathing was shallow she could only ease the pain, Anguirus needed a quick recovery and doing so in the middle of a battlefield wasn't ideal.

"It's alright Anguirus hang in there. This will all be over soon. Thanks for saving us, please don't put yourself in danger like that again." Mothra couldn't believe she lost a friend, there were other kaijus who didn't make it from previous battles such things were bound to happen but they were avoidable. Which is why Mothra was determined to save Anguirus' life she looked over at Godzilla who was struggling to hold down Destroyah. Just seeing him made Mothra feel like she was constantly being watched it was unsettling that a kaiju could look so horrific let alone act that way.

Another attack was coming, Mothra could hear the sound of static where the fight was. She was starting to get worried there's no guarantee Godzilla had really recovered if Destroyah lands another devastating hit he was done for. 

A purple spark of light started forming in front of Destroyah's chest emitting heat even Mothra and Anguirus who were a few blocks away could feel it. Everyone could tell that another large scale attack was on its way. The purple energy force got bigger stabilizing its shape. The crustacean curled his fists as a purple ray emerged from the energy formation and struck Godzilla this was the Oxygen Destroyer Ray that Destroyah had grown accustomed too after countless battles.

"You're a respectable opponent Godzilla I'll give you that but after all the fights we had you're just no match for me at all."

The giant reptile was now fighting the smoke that clouded his vision the smell was pungent which made it hard for him to concentrate on his surroundings. Destroyah stood there watching even though it was fun seeing Godzilla in a dilemma while fighting him the crustacean couldn't help but wonder if the giant reptile would ever surpass him. It seemed he was getting better at predicting the movements of his opponents let alone arch enemy who would stop at anything to get his place.
