Ni-Ki's POV

When I got home I expected it to be empty, but I just heard... laughing? What?

I continued to walk and there was Sunghoon... on the floor shifting around with his back and head leaning on the bottom cabinets, trying to wrap a towel around his arm. He looked like he was laughing but in pain

"S-Sunghoon?"

He just looked up. His eyes looked almost lifeless.

[3rd person pov]

Riki walked over to Sunghoon and sat down next to him

"Can I?" He asks as he puts his hand on Sunghoons arm

"I don't know." Sunghoon shrieks out

Riki carefully unwrapped the towel and the was alot of deep slashes in his arm and one just stabbed wound

Riki looks up at Sunghoon and just sees him looking away

Riki looked horrified. What the hell happened

"What-."

"My skates."

Riki had remembered seeing red clothes and alot of red paper towels and red water that day when he came back to the dorm but he didn't think anything of it... now it all makes sense

Sunghoon was still laughing but crying aswell. How could something like this happen. He seemed so well put together till that day when he lashed out on Ri-

This happened after he had left

"Oh my god.."

Sunghoon just looks up

"Did you do this because of me?" Riki looks horrified

"No." Sunghoons face turns blank he still had tears in his eyes and the tears falling down his face

"I miss them. I can't do this anymore, I want them back. And I don't want to hurt you anymore. I'm sorry" Sunghoon cries out as he puts his shaky hands on Riki's face and holds it

Riki had just looked at him and realized, how could he ever think he was just cold hearted and mean.

Sunghoon didn't have a heart of ice. No he never did.

As Sunghoon removed his hands and shifted around and as he fisted at his shirt trying to move it and tried not to cry out when the wounds burned more, he burned with hatred, Hatred for himself; for grandfather; for all the people who had hurt him terribly in the past.
Hate that was so bright and hot that it was the first thing that truly warmed him. Hate that felt so good that he welcomed being consumed by it.

Not a heart of ice, but a heart of fire.

Riki stared at Sunghoon and stopped his hands from moving around by holding them in his own, his downcast eyes, the movement in his throat as he swallows against a swell of emotion.

And some thing breaks apart inside of Riki. Some measure of resistance begins to crumble.

He looks so vulnerable. So young.

Riki takes a deep breath and then hugged him.

"I'm sorry I said those things to you. It's not true, none of it. Your not cold, and your not mean. You're just good at hiding your emotions. You don't want others to see you vulnerable" Riki says into Sunghoon's chest

The two weren't meant to be enemies. They needed eachother, they were two broken people who just needed to be there for eachother. They might have not gone through the same things, but they are still just two young teenagers who are broken and need someone to help them get better.
