It felt like the weekend would never end, after Justin's party I didn't do much of anything. Valerie and Jack came over but that's pretty much it.
The hangover I suffered from still lingered until Sunday, I really didn't intend to drink at all.. but with Valerie and Jack as friends I don't know how I was expecting to avoid it.
I don't regret the night, I don't think? I mean I only remember half of the night, not to mention the entire weekend we tried to figure out how the hell I
got home.Jack said that him and Valerie called an Uber, but I didn't go with them. I woke up that morning with my dress and heels still on.
I knew my mom didn't pick me up because she would have chewed my ass out for it, and my car apparently came home with me.. but who drove me? Because I sure as hell didn't drive.
I actually woke up in time for school and had time to get ready which is definitely a first. I took the time to straighten my hair and leave it down instead of putting it in my usual ponytail.
I decided on a pair of white cargo pants, a light pink crew neck, and my pink high top Converse. I turned on my Bluetooth speaker as I sat down at my vanity.
Hell And Back by Bakar starts playing when I press shuffle on Apple Music and I smile to myself. Songs like this never failed to put me in a good mood.
I hum to the song as I start to put on my makeup. Starting off with my eyebrows, laying them down perfectly. Then onto concealer, setting powder, blush. ETC.
I finish after about twenty minutes, I look at my reflection in the mirror and smile to myself. I felt pretty, I'd be lying if I said I didn't admire myself for a second before grabbing my bag and heading downstairs.
...
"Okay, its now the second week of school meaning.. homework!" Mr. Smith states with a little too much excitement in his voice. The whole class groans and Mr. Smith let's out a chuckle.
"Oh don't worry, it's nothing too extravagant. All I need from you guys is to take the quiz on the book we're reading, even though we're nowhere near finished I would like to see where everyone is at." I feel relief coarse through me.
That's easy for me, considering I've been a little too invested in it. It was actually a really good book, and it goes by a lot faster than you would think even though it is a little lengthy.
"I'll send everyone a link via email, it's expected to be done by Wednesday.. so please bring your Chromebook's home with you today." Everyone nods at Mr. Smiths statement.
"Now I'd like for everyone to pull out their books and read the next five chapters." I hear various sighs while others stay silent.
I pull out my book and begin reading. Per usual the book sucks me in and I'm not really aware of my surroundings. Apparently I didn't hear Daniel behind me trying to get my attention.
"Psst! Scarlett!" Daniel whisper yells behind me and I finally snap out of it and turn around.
I don't say anything, I just look at him waiting for him to say something.
"Are you and new boy like.. a thing?" He asks trying to hold back a chuckle, his cheeks filled with air.
"Uhh what? No.. why would you ask that?" I raise my eyebrow slightly.
"No reason.." his tongue poking the inside of his cheek as he looks back down at his book.
What would make him ask that..? That's so weird. I've never spoke to that kid before in my life.
