season 1 episode 8; no mourners
As the group approached, they met with the Sun Summoner unconscious and Nataliya could hear no heartbeat. Nataliya immediately went to were Inej was and bending down next to the two women. Trying to see if she could do anything without having to raise the dead.
"What happened?" Mal asked the group worried as he quickly approached Alina who was unconscious.
The Suli quickly made space for him as she answered, "It was Kirigan's Heartrender."
Nataliya watched how the young man grabbed Alina's hand and gave it a squeeze before he held her in his arms. "Come on, Alina!" Alina, come back to me please. Alina? - Please wake up! - Please come back! Please!"
Nataliya softly caressed Alina's hand as she tried to start her heart up again. Before she could get anywhere her attention was drawn away from the heart-breaking scene to the sound of the Volcra's heartbeats.
A couple of Volcra started to circle the skiff, growling loudly. Alina slowly opened her brown eyes, and her gaze fell onto her friend, "Mal?"
The young man started sobbing as he looked down at the young Shu smiling, "I'm here! Don't you dare say, 'Meet me in the meadow!'"
Nataliya eyes widened as she suddenly spotted another Volcra coming right towards them, but Alina just raised her hand and blasted it away with a bright beam of light.
A moment later they finally reached the edge of the Fold, and the bright dome disappeared as soon as they arrived outside.
A smile immediately appeared onto Nataliya's face as she looked at Jesper, "I didn't think we would survive this a second time."
Jesper nodded his head at her in agreement as he stared into the distance. The group didn't wasted time and quickly got off of the skiff, they walked a couple of meters and then started to make a big fire where they could all sit and warm up.
Kaz had gone back to get some stuff they had left on the skiff and as he came back, the group finally broke the silence that lay over them.
"I never met a Saint before," Inej told Alina who sat beside her in admiration and Nataliya on the other side.
"Truly it is an honor." Nataliya told her as she smiled lightly.
"I've never been a Saint before," Alina answered her friendly as she smiled at the two.
"Wherever you are, whatever you need - my hand is your's", Inej said with a smile on her face as Nataliya nodded in agreement.
"I think I like that hand with a dagger in it," Alina answered her before she looked at Nataliya and nodded, "Your's as well. Especially appreciate your abilities."
Nataliya gave her a small smile before she moved her gaze into the fire. She could hear Alina and Inej speaking in the background.
But it was the voice of Jesper who pulled her out of her daze, "Step one for any good plan, a change of clothes."
