In a world, that contains curse spirits, Esper, and Guides, S-Ranked Esper Gojo Satoru thrives on independence, rejecting any guidance from guides and relying...
No more, it was a nightmare to him. It took him a bit to fix his composure as he looked at the clock hanging on the bare wall. He didn't sleep for long at all. It was almost seven in the evening.
It was the first in many years since he had had a nightmare, and he wondered why he would have that type of nightmare. He knows that his mother wouldn't be disappointed in him—or, better yet, call him a failure.
He clenched his jaw slightly at the thought of it. "There's no way... right? You wouldn't call me a failure, right?" He yells out loud. He knows that the nightmare he just had has shaken him up so much.
He brought his knees close to his chest while wrapping his arms around it, burying his face inwards towards his arms and knees. "I'm not a failure, I swear." He whispers it out.

Another night falls through as the Esper lays in bed from an exhausting day of doing mission after mission. After a long, warm shower and drying himself up, he lays in bed, hoping to fall asleep in one piece. And that wasn't a problem for him. The problem for him was how he ended up in the same dream he had the other night.
The same mountains.
The same weather.
The same village.
The same house.
And lastly, the same body.
He looks down at his hands once more, curling his fingers in an opening and closing motion. He looks up and brings his gaze to the right, as the only thing different is that his mother isn't there like last time. He knows that this is a dream, and in the back of his mind, he hopes that this won't be a nightmare.
He could feel the cold breeze coming through as his tiny body shivered. He then brought himself to step into the building he once called 'home'.
Gojo has thoughts on how and if there's a way to escape this dream of his. He didn't think to have the same dream, or more so, to have another very vivid dream. As he enters the home, he walks down the hallway, observing everything. Everything in this house feels the same, and nothing has changed.
"Satoru."
His frail body froze as he knew who was calling out his name. He turns around slowly and focuses his gaze on the figure who called out his name. It was his mother once again.
"My, my... Satoru, you shouldn't be wandering around like this. It's cold."
He felt a lump form in his throat and wanted to say something but couldn't. He felt scared, and he didn't know if his mother would hurt him once again. He sees his mother stepping forward, and he looks at her with a slight fear and nervousness.
