Cousin's in Time: Part I

Ch 13

October 26, 1985

10:45 a.m.

The alarm went off, playing Back in Time. Marty woke up and rubbed his eyes.

Marty groggily stated, "What a nightmare." He went into the kitchen and saw Annie who looked like she just got up too. He wraps his arms around her waist. He greeted, "Morning, you."

Annie smiled, "Good morning to you too."

Marty let go of her and asked, "You mind if we go see my folks?"

Annie answered, "Sure." With that, they leave and arrive at the house. They see that the car isn't wrecked. Annie pointed out, "The car isn't wrecked. What the hell?"

They entered the house and saw Dave and Linda, both looking good.

Marty got their attention, "Hey!" Dave and Linda looked at him. The guitarist asked, "What the hell is this?"

Linda dryly answered, "Breakfast."

Dave saw what they were wearing and asked, "Did you two sleep in your clothes again?"

Annie answered, "Uh, yeah."

Marty stammered, "W - what are you wearing, Dave?"

Dave stated, "Marty, Annie. I always wear a suit to the office." Marty and Annie exchange confused looks. He asked, "You two alright?"

Annie stammered, "Uh, yeah."

Just then, George and Lorraine came in through the back way.

George greeted, "Good morning."

As soon as he saw his parents looking different, Marty wound up almost fainting. Annie managed to catch him before he did.

Lorraine asked, "Marty, are you alright?"

Marty stammered, "Uh, yeah. Y - you guys look great! Mom, you look so thin!"

Lorraine smiled, "Oh, why thank you Marty." George playfully pinches her bottom. She protested, "George!" She giggles. She went over to her youngest son and her niece, "Good morning, sleepy heads." With that, she gave them both a hug and goes over to Dave and Linda. She then asked, "So, how did it go with Doc last night?"

Annie perked up, "Uh, it went fine but the experiment didn't work. Doc was pretty bummed."

George commented, "Well, at least he keeps trying."

Lorraine added, "I just hope he doesn't intervene with your camping trip tonight."

Marty questioned, "W - what mom?"

Lorraine explained, "Well, you're trip up to the lake with Annie. You said that you two had a lot to talk about your relationship."

Annie whispered to Marty, "She's got that right."

Marty nodded in agreement. Just then, Biff comes in. He is a mechanic.

Biff had a package in his hand, "Mr. McFly, this package just came in." He saw Marty and Annie. He greeted, "Oh, hi Marty and Annie. I think it's your new book."

George and Lorraine opened the package and took out the book. It is entitled, 'A Match Made in Space'. It has an alien who looks like Dark Vader as well as two characters that look like George and Lorraine as teenagers on the cover as well as a real life picture of George on the back.

Lorraine gushed, "Oh, honey! Your first novel!"

George encouraged, "It's like I always say. As long as you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything."

Biff went over to Marty, "Oh, here Marty." With that, he gave Marty a set of keys. He added, "You're all waxed and gassed ready for tonight."

Marty and Annie repeated, "Keys?"

The cousins went out to the garage and opened it. They saw a truck there. Marty goes over to it and pumped his fists.

Marty commented, "This couldn't be more perfect."

Annie stated, "I agree. Your parents are being cool about us working for Doc, they actually care about you now and everyone is successful... You can't ask for more."

Marty smiled as he went over to her, "There is just one thing I can ask for, Annie."

Annie gave him a curious stare. She asked, "And what's that?"

Marty softly stated, "You let me kiss you."

Marty stroked her hair, caressed her cheek, and kissed her passionately. Just then, three sonic booms capture their attention. They break out of their kiss and see the De Lorean. They both go over and Doc got out.

Doc stated, "Marty, Annie!" He runs over to them and grabs them both. He added, "You got to come back with me!"

Marty passed his hand over Doc's visor. He asked, "Where?"

Doc flipped up his visor and answered, "Back to the future!"

Doc goes over to the garbage and takes a few things.

Annie asked, "Wait a minute. What are you doing now?"

Doc explained, "I need fuel!" He flipped up the compartment that says, Mr. Fusion. He puts the garbage into it. He told them, "Quick, you two. Get in the car."

Marty protested, "Wait a minute, Doc. We just got back."

Annie added, "Yeah and we were just about to take Marty's new truck out for a spin."

Doc apologized, "Well, I'm sorry you two but that's just going to have to wait."

Marty asked, "Why, what happens to us in the future?"

Annie questioned, "Yeah, do we become assholes or something?"

Doc reassured, "Oh, no. You and Marty both turn out fine but it's your kids! Something has to be done about your kids!"

Marty and Annie exchange surprised looks and they climb into the De Lorean. Doc backs up onto the road.

Marty pointed out, "Hey, Doc. You better back up."

Annie added, "Yeah, we don't have enough room to get up to 88 MPH."

Doc started to say, "Roads? Where we're going we don't need..." He flipped down his visor and finished, "Roads."

The De Lorean takes off and into time.
