You walked through the orchard while thinking about yesterday. Was it yesterday? Or was it just a dream? It was probably a dream. I mean, talking monkeys? Ha! Yeah, right. It must have been a dream.

You continued to walk down the path, towards the same place you "dreamed" you met a talking monkey. You looked up at the tree. The same tree you "met" that monkey. You shook your head with I smile. As if you really met a- "Hey Y/n!"

You jumped at the familiar voice. Leaning against the tree trunk, was the golden simian you met yesterday. "Oops! Sorry! Didn't mean to startle you!" The golden monkey apologized. "I just wanted to visit for a bit. You know, get to know you a bit?" He explained.

You stared at the monkey. He was real! He was really real! "I almost thought meeting you was a dream." You mumbled. The golden simian was surprised. Then he laughed. "Ha! I mean, I guess I am a bit dreamy!" He said with a pose.

You laughed this time. He thought he looked "dreamy"?! Ha! Wukong's ears turn pink, while you laughed. What was this strange new feeling he felt? Whatever it was, it felt pleasant.

When you stopped laughing, he decided to surprise you by grabbing you with his tail and jumping into the tree. You screamed for a second, surprised. Then he sat you on a branch and tossed you an apple.

He grabbed an apple for himself, bit in to it, and spoke. "You're lucky your apples are delicious, or you'd loose all your peaches instead." He said between bites.

"Do you really like peaches that much?" You asked. "Yep." He answered, before he grabbed another apple. "Ya gonna eat that?" Wukong pointed to the fruit in your hand. You toss the apple back to him.

"So, why would you decide to come to a farm, and raid its fruit trees, when you have a whole world that would gladly give you anything you wish, just for your presence?" You asked, curious.

"Hard earned food tastes better." He answered, while munching on his fourth fruit. "Hard earned? Or stolen?" You countered. He rolled his eyes playfully. "I'm not going to answer that one." He stated.

You chuckled. "Why is that mighty sage? Don't want to admit to doing a little bit of wrong in your life?" You teased. "Oh, I've done plenty of bad!" He smirked. "I'm just- I guess-, not really proud of everything I've done?" He said hesitantly.

"When you've lived as long as I have, you tend to see and do a lot of things. And most of those things tend to, somehow, be repeated mistakes." He explained with a small frown. You stared at the monkey in shock. He is admitting this! Poor monkey! I wonder what mistakes he's referring too?

"Anyway, enough about me! How about you? You ever cause trouble?" He changed the subject. You smirk and sarcastically answer, "Who, me? Why I'd never cause unnecessary trouble! I'm a sweet little angle, when I want to be!" It was now the Monkey Kings turn to laugh.

"Ha! Wow! As if I'd believe that!" He retorted. You laughed with him, now.

The rest of the afternoon was spent making the other laugh in some way while answering questions. As soon as the sun had set, you said good bye, and headed home.

Little did you know what tomorrow would bring, but whatever it provided, you were excited to spend it with your new friend.
