It has been a month since the news of your family, and a week since the magical ice trapped your grandparents. A month and a half since you last saw Wukong, and you were completely and utterly alone.

None of the neighbors could or would help as they had their own problems and misfortunes. And all your friends were in the city.

Your grandparents house was destroyed by the ice, and that forced you to live outside. Every night you barely slept as you made your improvised bed in a tree. The tree was the only living untouched tree in the orchard and, ironically, the tree you met Wukong at.

You grimaced at the memories. Each memory was so happy and nothing felt sad, but why'd life change?

Not long ago you would have gotten over your family's death by now. But ever since you met Wukong, he kinda taught you to appreciate and love the people close to you while you have them.

Not long ago, you would have just plain freaked out when the ice happened. But ever since you met Wukong, you couldn't help but feel like... something more is at play? It was hard to describe really.

But not long ago you would have thought stuff like this was impossible! Yet, when you met Wukong, he proved that there may be a lot of things possible that no one knows yet.

You sighed, and closed your eyes, praying to anything, anyone, everything, and everyone!- for a sign that things will get better.

A golden light lit up the sky!

You gasped.

The magical ice shattered, freeing multiple people!

Various colors of light streaked across the sky towards the source of golden light.

Something large blocked the light.

Then a giant shockwave came and knocked you out of the tree!

You fell backwards and everything went dark.

Noises came and went. Familiar and unfamiliar voices rang then vanished. Familiar and unfamiliar hands held, touched, and carried you then disappeared. Color and light would seep into your vision, then everything would go black. Pain would echo and pulse through your body then everything would go numb.

Your body and consciousness would switch back and forth between each sensation, but couldn't ever decide. Until, one moment, the pain, noises, everything!- wouldn't go away. You groaned.

More noises.

Whispered voices.

Someone was there!

You peeked open your eyes, and to your surprise, a face you missed looked back.

"Wu-Wukong!?" Your voice was small and hoarse and cracked as you spoke. "I'm here, Peaches." Wukong whispered.

You tried to smile, but a headache started and prevented you from doing so. You grunted at the pain and the room started to spin and fade. The last thing you remember seeing, was the worry glistening in his eyes. Then it went dark again.

(471 words. Yay! A double update! For any questions about what happened, it'll be answered in the next chapter. But I think most of it was self-explanatory. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! Love y'all! And have a great day/night!)
