Ha-na, Geon-woo, Woo-jin, and Hyeon-ju sat in the bookstore alone, tending to their wounds and attempting to process what had happened just an hour or two before."When did I get this?" Geon-woo exclaimed from the bathroom, examining his cuts and bruises that painted his body like it was a canvas. Red, black and blue covered him from head to toe and he barely even remembered getting hit in half of those places.
"You okay?" Ha-na asked from behind him, staring in awe at his bare back, seeing all of his wounds. He had taken a decent beating to his ribs. She moved next to him, gently patting his back in assurance. "Need my help with anything?" She smiled at him through the mirror. He smiled back, shaking his head kindly. "No, it's really just some bruises. Nothing major."
She smiled, nodding her head. "Same, I guess. I don't really know." She muttered, now examining herself in the mirror. She ran a finger across the gash on her face, wincing slightly at the dried blood. It didn't hurt too much anymore, she just hated seeing blood. Funny coming from a boxer.
"Goddamnit-" They heard Woo-jin yell from the main room, Geon-woo cocking his eyebrow to Ha-na before she lightly tapped his shoulder once more. "Take your time." She smiled, exiting the bathroom and making her way to Woo-jin, who was struggling to put cream on his eyebrow cut.
Ha-na chuckled softly under her breath, pulling up a chair next to him and taking the tube of cream away from him.
Woo-jin froze in his spot, furrowing his eyebrows as he watched her, questioning her with his eyes.
"What? You need help don't you?" Ha-na tutted, smirking as she grabbed an alcohol prep pad, beginning to properly clean Woo-jin's wound since she could still see dirt on it. Woo-jin rolled his eyes before smiling softly, scanning over Ha-na's face as she moved closer to examine him.
"Thanks." He mumbled, wincing at the sting of the alcohol, pulling back for a second. "Yah, you need to be still." Ha-na demanded, gently grabbing Woo-jin's chin with one hand and holding him in place as her other hand went to work. She finished cleaning, and began putting the cream on the cut.
Woo-jin stared at her, it finally hitting him again that they were once again together. They were so different from back then but it still felt the same. Like they were still teenagers, taking care of one another. Even though they had went so long without speaking, their paths never really were that different. They both became boxers. They both worked hard to save themselves. Woo-jin felt like it was more than destined for them to cross paths again.
"Do you forgive me now?" He suddenly asked, making Ha-na pause as she went to grab a band-aid. She thought for a second, repeating the question to herself. Do I forgive him? She sighed, continuing her actions and unwrapping the band-aid, placing it to his eyebrow. "Yes."
Woo-jin smiled brightly, his heart suddenly feeling like it was full of fireworks. "Really? Like, you completely forgive me? Or are you doing the whole 'for Geon-woo' thing again?"
