Ha-na let out a loud sigh, nearly toppling over if it weren't for her own arms saving her by catching the punching bag in front of her. She let her cheek rest against the cool leather, her chest rising up and down in a harsh manner as if she was going into an asthma attack.

"Slow down, take a seat." The soft voice echoed in her ears, surprised she actually heard it over the thumping of her own heart. "You've really been at it today, huh? Something on your mind?" She flinched as she felt a cold sensation on her arm, looking up to see a water bottle pressed against her skin.

"No, not really Geon-woo. Just really needed a good work out today I guess." She sighed once more before standing up straight, taking the water with a small smile at the tall man in front of her. "Plus my match is in a week, I'm nervous. I really need to win. I need that prize money."

Geon-woo flashed her a big smile, gently pushing her shoulder as she took a sip from the bottle, earning him a glare. "In what universe would you lose? You're one of the best boxers I know. Hell, you pretty much taught me everything I've learned to this day. You could take down thirty grown men if you needed to." He chuckled, walking over next to the tire he was just practicing on, grabbing his sweat rag and wiping the droplets off his forehead.

"Oh whatever. I'm not the reason you're such a good boxer, you were just born to be one." Ha-na replied, a smile plastered on her face. She tossed her gloves to the side, picking up her zip-up jacket and throwing it on. "Let's get going now. I'm hungry, and in dire need of a shower."

"Yeah, I can smell you from here." Geon-woo playfully pinched his nostrils shut, his face tightening in an 'I'm disgusted' way. Ha-na rolled her eyes and lightly punched him in the chest as she walked by, curling her lip up at him causing the other to laugh not so quietly. Geon-woo couldn't see it, but his laugh made her smile wider than ever. It always did.

They both grabbed their things, threw on their masks, and walked out of the gym together.

Ha-na and Geon-woo met about six years ago, when she was twenty and he was nineteen. Ha-na got a job at Geon-woo's mother's cafe, and they've been inseparable ever since. They both bonded pretty much the first day they met. From how they grew up, lived their life, their struggles, their weaknesses, their likes, their happiest memories. They reflected each other in ways that maybe nobody else would ever understand. That was okay though, because they understood.

If Ha-na didn't know anything else about life, or herself, the one thing she knew was that Geon-woo and his mother were her family. Because of them, she was no longer alone, and no longer had to deal with things all by herself. Even if life wasn't perfect, her life with them was perfect.

Ha-na had worked different jobs nearly her entire life. Which is something her and Geon-woo could relate on. She's tutored, worked at numerous restaurants, been a cashier, a cook, many of which she did all at the same time to make a living. But one thing she always took an extra liking to was boxing. She would work an extra job just to make enough money for boxing lessons every single week. She loved feeling strong, like she could handle her own, like she didn't need anyone to protect her mentally or physically.
