Winnie wasn't exactly expecting silence in the house she just moved into. Come on. 9 teenagers living under one roof without making a ruckus? Yeah, right.
But she sure as hell wasn't expecting to be woken up by a loud screech.
She sat up, startled and looked around, before throwing off the covers and walking out. The sight that greeted her was Jisung on the ground, Hyunjin sitting on his hips and twisting his arm behind his back. Felix and Seungmin laughing and Changbin looked a little outta place.
"What?" she barely managed to mutter. It seemed like none of them heard her, or even noticed her presence.
Where the fuck were Chan and the managers?
She loudly cleared her throat, grabbing everyone's attention at once.
"Can someone explain to me what in the name of everything holy is going on?"
Hyunjin quickly got off Jisung and greeted her with a good morning bow. Cute.
Jisung on the other hand, stood up, dusted his clothes and looked at her with a scowl before the look softened a little.
"They were just messing around," Seungmin finally answered
Winnie regarded him with a nod and a small thank you before turning back to the others.
"It was nothing, really, noona," Hyunjin said,
"Yeah, just stupid stuff," Jisung grumbled after
"Oh...kay." she pressed her lips, "Where's everyone else? Chan? The new managers?"
The five exchanged a look.
"Uh....we don't know. They weren't here when we woke up." Changbin replied
"I see," Winnie looked around before looking back at them, "I'm coming back in 2 minutes after brushing my teeth and when I come back I want to see no one on the ground."
After a collective affirmation, she turned and entered her room, making her way to the bathroom, while picking her phone up on the way. She shot a quick 'Where the hell are you?' text to Chan only to realize she had not taken any of her manager's numbers.
The deep breath she exhaled, it felt heavier than it was.
Chan had all their numbers. But maybe now she should start taking charge of things in here too.
When she walked out, she was greeted by Seungmin and Felix huddled together, Changbin speaking rather slowly. Hyunjin and Jisung sat alone in the kitchen. So that's where she headed.
"You usually don't wake up this early on your days off," she noted, opening the fridge to take out some milk and pour it into a pot on the stove.
"Yeah, well, when you share the room with four others, it's hardly a choice anymore," Jisung replied
She exhaled again and turned to him, "If you want, really, you can exchange your bed with the manager's bed. We can share the room if you want. That way at least whatever happened this morning, won't happen again."
Jisung took a deep breath and looked at her with a soft smile. "I'm good. No need to worry too much about me."
Her phone chose that moment to ping in and she checked it to see a message from Chan.
Channie<333: I'm at the company. Managers are with me. We thought we could get back before you guys woke up. We'll be there soon.
She flipped the phone down and then poured the hot milk into a mug, followed by coffee and sugar.
