Well, I guess Yoyle Metal won't keep us safe. It's probably not even worth trying to get one since I guess those teleportation bracelets Golf Ball has been telling me about don't even work anymore.

I don't know if Snowball is able to get well soon. After all, not all of us are absolute masterminds. We can only hope, well, only me and X can hope. Everyone relies on us since we're the only ones that can recover, and that recovery center's destroyed.

Okay, what do we have so far.. a giant monster, a bunch of bugs, and some monster that makes fog. Seems just about right. Eh, I don't even know why I'm keeping track of what I've, or we've, encountered so far.

And that all happened 2 weeks after the meteor crash. At that pace, I don't think we might survive the next 2 weeks. A new monster just may come out of nowhere and kill us all.

Either way, I've got another week of nothing to do, but sit down at a table and think about what I should do and come up with absolutely nothing.

I do wonder what was in that fog, though. Maybe a way, way smaller version of that thing that walked by when the meteor crashed? Could be, could be not. We don't know for sure.

But whatever it was, it managed to infect Snowball, despite him being pretty much a big ball of Yoyle Metal. It makes me scared about how it infected Snowball. Did it bite through the metal?

I heard a lot of commotion upstairs. It was Snowball and Basketball, but this time, it sounded like Basketball tried to calm Snowball down. I would go up there, but it may make things worse.

Maybe that thing did bite through the metal. Did it? No. It couldn't. Yoyle Metal is nearly indestructible, as it can withstand lasers and zapping. Yoyle Metal can withstand bites, even from that living fog.

I guess I need to stop thinking. I was about to get up and head to the kitchen, but someone called my name. I looked behind me, and on the stairs, was Grassy, who looked quite down.

"Four?" Grassy said weakly.

"Hey." I respond.

Grassy runs up to me, looking down the entire time.

"Basketball wanted me to.. tell you.. something." Grassy says it even more weakly.

"Does she need me?" I say. Grassy nods.

I was about to head upstairs, but I changed my mind after hearing Basketball chase Snowball down the stairs, as well as a couple other contestants, trying to stop him.

I thought he was being chased down the stairs, but I was quickly corrected after seeing him fall down the stairs, followed by an audible gasp at the top of the stairs. Snowball groans after falling down. I run over to him, and I hear Grassy follow.

"AH! Snowball, are you okay!?" I asked worriedly.

Snowball continued to groan, more quietly than before. I help him up, but I only get him to sit up. Any more than that, and I'll cause him pain.

A crowd is formed around us. Basketball runs to Snowball's side, trying to keep him steady. "Can you hear me?" Basketball says hastily.

Snowball doesn't respond to Basketball, but instead, he turns toward and looks at me, grasping tightly onto my shoulders. He looked rather pale, several parts of his body looked cracked, and his eyes, filled with tears, seemed a bit whiter than before. Snowball blinked once before croaking out a few words that were almost barely audible to hear.

"H-h.. Hel-help.. m-me..."

I stare with silence, trying to figure out what to do in a short amount of time.

"P-please.." Snowball croaked again. "I.. I-I d-dont.. want to.. die..."

Basketball tries to help. "Hey, Snowball, stay with us. You've gotta stay with us. Can you.." She pauses, trying to think of what to say. "How.. How do you feel."

Snowball doesn't respond.

"Snowball?" I tried to get him to acknowledge us.

He still doesn't respond.

Suddenly, he stands up, screaming as loud as possible, causing the group to jump back. He runs up to a wall, bashes himself several times against the wall, until suddenly..

..his face completely shatters.

Despite being made of Yoyle Metal, one of the toughest metals in Goiky, he still manages to damage himself and fall apart.

It left all of us completely shocked.

"How is that even-" Basketball suddenly stops after questioning.

Two suddenly appears out of the blue. "Hey, what's going-" He stops after seeing Snowball, shattered on the floor. "What happened!?"

"Why are you asking us!?" I say in response. "We don't have a concrete answer!"

"Uhh.. guys.." Grassy says, interrupting us two. He points to the shattered Snowball, lying there on the floor.

Something's coming out of the hole inside Snowball. Fog. Not a lot of fog, but it was fog. And.. something's crawling out of the hole, out of the fog, before passing out after.

...

It was a small, light blue figure that was about the size of my hand
It had horns, a sail, and a long tail, glowing purple eyes and..

..it had the exact same body shape as mine. Four-shaped.

Why does.. why does it look like me?

"Four? Why does it look like you?" Two asks me quietly.

"That's what I'd like to know." I say.

It lies there resting in the metal body. It sleeps.. and sleeps.. before it suddenly jolts awake. It stands up and hisses at all of us, trying to scare us. It caused us to back away, but we were curious to stay.

I suddenly had a sense of deja vù.

Even though it was small..

..I remembered the bug.

Oh no.

No no no no no.

I'm not having that again.

Without hesitation, I picked up the figure, ran outside, and chucked that freak of nature as hard as possible. It flew for a while before I heard a loud crash.

Yep, it's definitely dead.

.

..

...

"Oh." Two said blankly. "Are you still thinking about the bugs?"

I nodded. The others didn't understand what he said, but I knew what he was talking about.

...

Oh, right.

I tried to recover Snowball, struggling in the process. After a few tries, I managed to recover him. After one second, he looked at me, ran up to me, and gave me a hug. I wasn't able to tell for sure, but I could hear a soft "Thank you."

"Oh, you're welcome." I replied.

Snowball lets go, tears in his eyes. He runs back into the hotel without question, crying loudly. I feel really bad for him, for I'm guessing the amount of pain he must have been in must've been mind-shattering.

Two walks up to me. "No, really, why did it look like you?"

I shrugged. "I don't know! I'm not the same thing as that.. thing." I sigh. "This.. this is all too much for me."

I head inside, grab the shattered, fog covered ball, and throw it off the pillar. Then I go back in. I heard the others soon follow.

I went into the kitchen and made my way to the corner. I sat down and curled myself into a ball.

This was really all too much for me. But it did leave me questioning:

Why did it look like me?

...

I need a break.
