Out of fear, I quickly hid back inside the bush, curling up into a ball, and being so quiet I couldn't even hear myself breathing. I recognized the voice, but there could be more creatures inside that mist I don't know of. I'm not risking it.
I look back up through the top of the bush. The mist becoming what it usually was; a gray fog that wasn't see through... like regular mist.
But I couldn't focus on the footsteps that got louder. I look to my side to see 2, black limbs, resembling legs... usually for an armless contestant. They looked as if it was about to walk past me... but then it stops, right infront of my hiding spot.
I stay silent, not risking anything... it could be a trap. This bush was practically a safe spot... I felt like if I move I'll-
"Four, it's just me." It said with annoyance. "I can clearly see you."
...
I slowly peek out of the bush to see... Clock. No wonder that voice sounded familiar.
He seemed mostly fine for the most part, but I could see a huge bug bite mark that resembled a much larger version of some sort of spider bite on him. It appeared to go as far to the other half of his body, going through the plastic and even metal.
We just stared at each other in awkward silence.
...
"You scared me." I say in relief and in a bit of annoyance as I crawl out of the bush.
"Sorry." Clock said, backing away as he watched me crawl, his face turning into one of shock as I fully get out of the bush.
"...Can I get on top of you?" I say with hesitation. "I kind of... can't walk... as you can tell."
...
Clock appears to shake his head in order to wipe the shocked expression off his face. "Well, alright." He says as he helps me up. I end up holding onto one of his legs as I get behind him and eventually climb on top of him.
Clock appears to visibly struggle. "Gosh, you're heavy. I was expecting you to be way lighter." He complains as we turn around and go deeper into the woods, going in a straight line.
"Well, I gotta get somewhere somehow." I think to myself.
Surprisingly, Clock appears to have gotten used to having me on him pretty quickly. The ride appeared to go.. pretty smoothly.
I didn't even know where we were going, the mist covered up the path ahead. I mean... it's mist, of course it will.
"Clock, where are we even going?" I said, confused.
Clock appears to pause for a few seconds. "I mean... it's just a hiding spot me and Winner found." He says calmly. "I think it might be harder to find, since it's, y'know... harder to see."
"Yeah, I can see that, obviously." I mumbled to him. Of course it's hard to see.
"No you can't." After Clock said that, he quietly snickers. Wow, what a good joke. It was so funny that I forgot to laugh.
I just scoff. "You are so hilarious. You should sign up for a comedy club after we get out of this mess."
"Really?"
"No. I was joking. That was terri-"
...
Suddenly, we felt gigantic tremors... accompained by heavy, loud footsteps, far, far away from us. We froze, trying not to fall over as the forest rustled loudly with the footfalls.
"AGH-!" Clock stumbled due to the sudden shockwaves. "What's happening!? Why is everything-" Clock pauses, stumbling again due to the shockwave interrupting him.
