With a time skip to.. about 3 days later, it was nighttime, the time where everyone in the hotel would be asleep, try to refresh their mind and forget what had happened. Everyone except for me. I don't know what caused me to not go to bed, but it was something.

Sitting back down on the same chair at the same table, I look out the windows, at the first clear night sky we've had since that thing arrived. I was thinking to myself that I should go outside. There isn't even any mist, no, anything outside. What's the harm of just going out the door for a little.

I get up and walk to the door. Heading out, I get to see more of the bright stars, which looked rather beautiful. I go to the edge and sit there, dangling my legs.

I look to the side of the hotel and see that footprint that was there since the day that thing arrived. I still get shivers when I look at it. Whether it's the fact that all of us almost died or the fact that the footprints alone are that huge, It's still scary to look at.

I stopped looking at that hole and shifted my attention back to the stars. I guess the stars are one of my only forms of entertainment now that I think about it.

Even if I'm sitting here, with no mist, with no one sitting around me, with nothing outside but a breeze, I still feel as if I was being..

..watched.

With caution, I moved away from the edge and went back into the hotel, just to keep myself safe. While I was going back inside, I got this growing feeling of drowsiness. That was when I decided that I should really go take a nap.

But I tried to go up the stairs, I couldn't get past the first step. Something was blocking my path, but it was completely invisible. I could feel it.. and it feels like I was touching one of those bugs.

Bugs.

Then it hit me, but before I could think of anything else, that something revealed itself. And I was right, it WAS one of those bugs. But it took more of a grey color scheme rather than brown. I screamed in fright, and the bug squealed with me.

I zapped that abomination infront of me, but just like before, it was completely unaffected. It was not long before it got a hold of me, gripping onto my shoulders, as if it were some bird. Then, without hesitation, it dragged me out of the hotel and the both of us flew away. I witnessed the insect "grow" mist from its body, and it was all around us now.

As we flew for what seemed like minutes, I couldn't do anything. I couldn't teleport, I couldn't zap, I was comepletely powerless. I screamed and flailed helplessly, but it was all futile. I thought I was going to die, I was sure of it. That is, until I got the random thought to bite one if its arms.
Surprisingly, I managed to bite its arm hard enough that it let go of me and put me in free fall, screaming all the way.

When I landed, I astonishingly didn't black out, but the problem was that I couldn't feel my right leg. I look back to see a horrifying sight. My right leg was broken. And I could even see the blood-covered bone sticking out. I felt so disgusted and horrified. But that wasn't the worst part.

I look infront of me to see the bug landing infront of me, the mist clearing, the bug approaching. I panicked as I tried to get away, backing away while trying to teleport away at the same time. But all was futile.

But, in a sudden turn of events, just before it was about to reach me, the bug was suddenly frightened by something, it looked all around itself, before flying away quickly, abandoning me entirely. I felt a sigh of relief, even though I was still terrified.

I saw more bugs fly away, all in the same direction as that bug. Those same grey and brown bugs as before. I watch in awe, but soon in horror as I begin to wonder what they could have been feeling from.

But then I felt it. The very thing that could've scared all those insects away.

Earth-shaking vibrations.

And they're getting more powerful by each passing second.
