"Clock, seriously, are we lost?" I asked Clock, getting worried again. I look up at the sky to see that it's becoming dark and the sun is setting. "We had been walking for hours now."

Clock sighs... and nods. "Yeah, I think we are." He admitted, deciding to relax by sitting down next to a couple of bushes. I got off of him and lied down next to him, looking at my still-broken leg. It isn't as bad as before... the blood on the bone is gone.

I look up at the sky. It felt... so wrong seeing the sky like this for some reason; I was already getting used to the mist being everywhere for days. But atleast the sky is clear.

"What are we supposed to do now?" I asked Clock. Clock looked like he was in deep thought and did a shrug with his non-existent shoulders.

"I guess we can just stay here." Clock said. "Probably for a long time too. I'm tired."

"I'm tired too, but... we can't be tired for long." I add. "We're gonna have to keep moving eventually."

"...What do you mean?"

"Are you seriously asking me that? Have you not seen the giant bugs flying over this forest?"

"...Well... uhmm... just listen to me, okay?" Clock looks over at me and I decide to sit up and listen intently.

"So... that giant monster..." Clock looks over at the meteor overlooking the forest. "It walked over to the hotel and stepped on it. Some of us got out before it got crushed, but... mostly everyone got stepped on. Even if we did get out we got attacked by these gigantic bug creatures... where even more of us died."

"Who-"

"I think it was 2 whole teams that died and the rest of us got away."

I just listen to the explanation horrified. Normally... I wouldn't care. In this kind of situation it was devastating since... they could die forever, especially since the only people that can recover right now are me and X... who don't have any powers.

But then Clock said something that hit me with realization: "Where's Black Hole when we need him?"

...

Black Hole... Black Hole! Where is he!? If he had intervened then this wouldn't have happened-hell, NONE of this would've happened!

"Where's Black Hole!?" I repeat, now nervous.

"I... I have no idea."

...

"What?"

"I don't know. I don't know where he is. It's either that he fled or... died somehow."

"But he can't die! He's a black hole!"

"You were able to kill him one-"

"Shut up! I don't mean the Anti-Flying Machine. He can't die in this situation!"

...

"Listen, I don't talk to him, okay? All I know is that he's a black hole and that he prevents death."

...

I sigh in frustration... and stretch. "Why would he leave..? Why did he leave?"

"Four, I don't know. All I know is that he's gone and he probably won't come back."

"He has to come back somehow."

...

I just look up at the sky again. The sun has completely set and now it's nighttime. The stars shine, casting a very dim light on the leftover mist still in the air.

"...Why did this happen to us?" I asked myself.

Clock just looked over at me confused. "What do you mean?"

"Why did this happen to us!? There could've been other planets that meteor could've crashed into but... it had to be us specifically, and... and it just HAD to contain a giant monster as well as these other... things..."

...

"We were just... unlucky-"

"Shut up!" I stop him from talking. "Now the Recovery Center is gone and- and Two and X could've died and-"

...

I begin to tear up. "The world's gonna end."

...

That's when I began to break down and just let it all out. I cried loudly, covering my face with both of my hands. I... I remember the last time I've cried. It was a long time ago... and this one felt so... real.

Clock tries to console me. "Hey, listen... it's okay. As long as we have you we can get out of this. You can recover others and..." He said. "...what... what I'm saying is that we need you. Without you we wouldn't get through this."

Why would he say that? I've barely even done anything.

"I haven't even done-" I try and argue back but he stopped me.

"Listen... if you take some time you can recover those who are dead, you know? Since... well... it's because of the mist. I'm pretty sure the mist has these... magic-removal properties. All you have to do is wait and... you can bring them back."

...

...

...

"I'm... not good at consoling others, I'm... sorry if that was rude or-"

I sniffle, hugging Clock for comfort. "No, no, it's fine. Thanks... I guess."

"No problem." Clock pats me on the back as an attempt to comfort me.

...

...

...

"Did you hear something?" Clock appears to look around the forest.

"I- What are you talking about-"

That's when something burst out of the bushes and trees beside us. We were about to run, but we soon realized it's... just Two. Except... they have black-colored bite marks across their arms.

"Gah-! Two!? What happened?!" The first thing I was concerned about was the bite marks.

"Ughhhh..." Two tiredly turns around and attempts to get past their drowsiness. "Oh- hey guys." They say, breathing heavily.

"Two! You're alive!" Clock said, getting up and going over to Two. "What happened to you?"

"Those- tiny Four things- they attacked me- and now I have... these." They stretch out their arms to show the bite marks. Two is bleeding... not alot, but still bleeding.

"Two, uhm..." I go up to Two, crawling over to them and casually ignoring their clearly visible injuries. "Where... where is X?"

Clock appears to realize. "Yeah, where is X?" Clock said, looking up at Two with worry.

Two sighs. "I- I have no idea. We got seperated when- when those things chased us. I didn't look back. Hopefully they're okay..."

"Surely we can find something to treat your wounds." Clock said, looking at the bite marks once again. "What are we supposed to do now?"

I look around, trying to look for a place to go... and that's when I saw...

Something yellow, past a bunch of trees, looking at us from afar...

...

"X?" I call out looking ahead. The two look ahead and saw them, just barely visible, far away. "X! Hey! It's us!"

Instead of just going toward us, hugging us in relief, I saw them scurry past the trees, appearing to run away. Maybe they mistook us for a bunch of monsters.

"X! Wait!" I call out, but they don't listen.

Two picks me up, struggling a little as they let me piggyback ride them. I don't argue this time... getting to X is more important than fighting about Two touching me.

Clock heads forward. "X! WAIT! IT'S JUST US!"

We follow closely behind Clock, trying to get to X as we run into the trees. I don't undertand... Why were they running away? Were theyscared? Or... could it be...

...

It doesn't matter.

What matters is that we found X.
