Hello Alicia,
A string of bad decisions have led you here. It's not good to keep secrets, they bubble up inside of you until you explode. Up until now death hasn't scared you, it's something you've always felt like you deserved but Doctor Gordon convinced you to live, he saw something inside of you. Today he might convince you again or he might be the one to kill you. The cancer was never going to be your cause of death. You have always been in control of your own life.

I looked down at the tape recorder clutched in my shaking hand and waited for someone to break the silence. Whoever locked us in here knows alot about me and I didn't want that information to get out.
"Pass it here." Doctor Gordon spoke quietly as I removed my tape.
"No." Adam spoke. "Don't throw the recorder, it could break." I nodded and Adams tape landed at my feet. I picked it up and gently placed it inside the recorder.

Rise and shine, Adam.
You're probably wondering where you are. I'll tell you where you might be. You might be in the room that you die in. Up until now, you've simply sat in the shadows, watching others live out their lives. But what do voyeurs see when they look in the mirror? Now, I see you as a strange mix of someone angry yet apathetic, but mostly just pathetic. So, are you going to watch yourself die today, Adam, or do something about it?

"I don't get it." Adam said as I picked up Doctor Gordon's tape from the floor. I removed Adams and inserted his. There was a quiet crackle and the same voice spoke.

Doctor Gordon...
This is your wake up call. Everyday of your working life, you have given people the news that they're gonna die soon. Now you will be the cause of death. Your aim in this game is to kill either Adam or Alicia. The choice isnt as obvious as you might think. You have until six on the clock to do it. There's a man in the room with you. When there's that much poison in your blood, the only thing left to do is shoot yourself. There are ways to win this hidden all around you. Just remember, X marks the spot for treasure. If you do not kill Adam or Alicia by six, then Alison and Diana will die and I'll leave you in this room to rot.
Let the game begin.

"Any idea who that is?" Adam asked and I shook my head wondering which one of us Doctor Gordon would choose. "He knows us."
"I heard something at the end." Doctor Gordon spoke. "A whisper. Play it back."

... and I'll leave you in this room to rot.
Let the game begin.
Follow your heart.

"Follow your heart?" I asked. "What does that mean?" This prank or whatever it was had gone too far.
"There." Doctor Gordon said pointing to the red heart painted on the toilet seat.
Adam sighed before taking a step towards it, he knelt down before shoving his hand deep inside the toilet. He groaned and gagged as he felt around before pulling his hand back out.
"Anything?" I asked him, feeling grateful that I didn't have to put my hand down a toilet.
"No solids." He replied. Gross.
"Take off the lid." Doctor Gordon suggested and Adam did so, pulling out a plastic bag from the tank of the toilet.
"I really wish I would've checked in there first." Adam groaned before ripping the bag open. Inside were three hacksaws. Instantly, Adam knelt down and pressed one of the saws against the chain that held his ankle, then he started to saw.
"Stop!" I yelled and he turned to look at me. I coughed for a moment before continuing. "It's not gonna work. It's just going to break."
"What do you know?" He asked before continuing. Suddenly there was a snapping noise and he held up his saw to reveal that the blade had snapped off of the handle. "Fuck!"
"I did tell you." I spoke, it was quite clear that the saw was flimsy.
"Fuck!" He yelled once more before throwing the saw at the mirror on the wall opposite me, chipping the corner. Adam definitely had some anger issues.
"He doesn't want us to cut through our chains." Doctor Gordon spoke. "He wants us to cut through our feet. I think I may know who's done this to us."
"What?" Adam asked.
"It's not someone I know personally." Doctor Gordon continued. "It's just someone I know of."
"Who?" I asked.
"Last I heard, the police still hadn't caught him," he spoke, "and the only reason I know that is because I was a suspect."
"What are you talking about, Doctor?" I asked, I didn't know him all that well, I was just a patient but I didn't see him as the murder suspect type.
"He's known as the Jigsaw killer." Doctor Gordon said. "That's what the newspapers have been calling him anyway. Technically speaking he's not really a murderer. He never killed anyone. He finds ways for his victims to kill themselves. Five months ago detectives found my penlight at one of his crime scenes. He tried to set me up for murder."
"Are you sure it's him?" Adam asked, his eyes narrowing at the man, Doctor Gordon nodded. "How do I know you're telling the truth? You could be the one who put me in this room."
"I'm in exactly the same situation that you're in." Doctor Gordon replied calmly before turning to me. I hadn't really been listening, I was distracted. While Doctor Gordon was telling us about this so called "Jigsaw Killer" I had picked up the piece of glass that had broken off of the mirror. At first I was thinking of cutting myself with it, maybe even killing myself but then I studied it more, turning it in my fingers. "Alicia?" Doctor Gordon asked but I didn't look up. "Are you okay?"
"The mirror." I spoke finally. "It's two way. Someone's watching us."
Adam picked up a piece of concrete that had crumbled from the wall and threw it at the mirror. The entire thing shattered to reveal a small camera held up on a tripod behind it.
"So that's what this is." Adam spoke. "Reality TV. Can you hear me in there, huh? I'm having a blast. This is the most fun I've had without lubricant. Make sure you're getting everything."
"Adam stop." I said and he did. If this was a TV show it would completely masochistic although I'd probably watch it. "The tape told us to find an X. It has to be somewhere in this room."
"Alicia's right." Doctor Gordon nodded.
"How can you be the calm Doctor guy when your wife and kid are out there?" Adam asked him. "He's got them, too. He could be doing anything to them right now. You thinking about that?"
"Adam!" I yelled.
"I am thinking about that!" Doctor Gordon shouted. "I've been thinking about the last thing I said to my daughter."
"Whatever." Adam groaned before turning to me. "And what's your problem, I know he's your doctor and everything but you don't have to be on his side all the time."
"That tape said he has to kill one of us." I replied calmly before coughing. "He's probably deciding right now and if you keep pissing him off then he's going to choose you."
"He's always gonna choose me, no matter what." Adam replied. "You're his patient, he knows you."
"I'm not going to kill either of you." Doctor Gordon yelled.
"Yes you are, Doctor." I replied. "Because you want to see your family again. It's okay."
