"Y/N? What are you doing over here?" A voice broke through the air. Disturbing the peace of the silent table.

"Emma?" I looked over to see her approaching me.

"Excuse me, miss. You can't come near this table without authorization." One of the guards held an arm out, stopping her quick approach.

"I'm a nurse here, I have as much authorization as she does." Emma took a step back, a mix of shock and anger flashed on her face.

"You're a nurse for them," the guard held a hand out, showing off all of the other less dangerous patients. "She's a nurse for our heavy-duty patients."

"How? She's worked here less than I have. Why aren't I working with them?" Emma's voice grew in anger and betrayal. As if she could work with them. She could barely work with a completely sane person.

Her growth in anger gave me a sign that I should step in. I don't want her upsetting my patients after all.

"Emma... hey." I got up to my feet and stood beside the guard. "I um, I got this job out of pure luck."

"Pure luck?" I watched her eyes scan behind me. "Why can't I get that job?"

"Don't ask me, I'm not the boss." My voice stayed calm, but I was growing more and more irritated with her.

"I'll get your job." Her voice lowered for a second before charging off. How's she going to get my job if she can't even do her own? I mean, she just left the cafeteria full of her patients.

I turned on my heel and went right back to my spot. Sitting down and watching Michael. He was looking at me as if he were trying to read me. No emotions were shown behind his eyes.

"Can you eat?" I said in a soft voice, noticing he was the only one with an almost full plate.

He had no response. Not even a blink at my request. This might be harder than I first thought.

"Who the fuck was that girl?" Bo took my attention off of Michael as he spoke with a mouth full of food.

"She's a nurse here. We got the same opportunity as each other." I answered his question.

"Opportunity?" Billy spoke up beside Michael.

"I'm going to college for a nursing degree. The sanatorium has a program to have us work so we can skip some courses for our degree." I told them all the truth. The entire table now looked my way.

"Wait, so you're not even a nurse?" Tiffany stepped into the conversation.

"I'm a nurse. I just don't have my degree in it." I spoke slowly, realizing how stupid I must sound in front of all the killers. Their eyes spoke more words than they actually could. Each person looked at me with a mix of shock and confusion. All besides Michael, who kept his blank face.

"Times up. Everyone hands up." Carter cut off our chat by noticing the time. I couldn't help but look at Michael's plate. Why didn't he eat anything? I'll get him to eat something tomorrow.

I stood back and watched as each killer held their hands out. The guards uncooked their cuffs from the table, still keeping them restrained. Everyone stood up and walked with their assigned guards to their cells.

I did my job, following my patient and the guards back through the halls. Each killer was tucked away like usual, left to wait there until morning. The guards all started to leave the hall.

"Where's everyone going?" I stepped up to Angela.

"The killers are done for the night. Not to worry, this hall is still heavily guarded. We just don't stay outside their cells at this time." She stopped to speak to me.

"What am I supposed to do now?" I asked, still not knowing all of my duties for the day.

"Well, now you say your goodnight to the patients. You don't really have to, but I think it could help you bond. Then you can go to the cafeteria to get your own dinner." Carter made me jump as he suddenly appeared behind me.

"Ok, sounds good, I'll see you guys tomorrow." I waved to the two as they left, leaving me alone in the hallway surrounded by serial killers. At least there's a huge door between us.

"Goodnight, Michael." I stepped up to the door, starting my current side quest. "Hey, you'll eat more tomorrow, right? You hardly touched your food."

Michael stood at the door, just staring down at me. He didn't do or say anything. Shocker. I took a deep breath and moved on.

"Goodnight, Billy." I slowly walked past the door, only seeing Billy look my way for a second before disappearing into the dark corner of his cell.

"Goodnight, nurse Y/N." A smile tugged at my lips as I noticed Stu come right up to his door.

"Goodnight, Stu. I'll see you tomorrow." I gave him a small wave, making his smile brighten.

"Still gonna stay, huh?" The thick accent let me know who it was even though I was already at his cell and knew who the voice belonged to.

"Yes, Bo. I'm going to stay. I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" I stopped by his door for a second.

"Come closer." He said softly, standing by the door. There was literally no way he could reach me through the door. He was lucky I could even hear him.

"What is it, Bo?" I stepped closer to the door, nervous about what he had planned.

"Nurse or not. Michael's gonna kill you." He said through the door. His voice hushed but still loud enough for me to hear.

"Why are you telling me this?" I looked through the glass, our faces close but still separated.

"Because I want a nurse. After he killed the last one, we've just been around damn guards the whole time. If you act like a nurse and treat us right, unlike those asshole guards, we'll keep you safe from him." Bo hasn't been the nicest person here, but he was dead serious about this. It really made me wonder what the guards did to them before I arrived.

"I'll keep that in mind. Thanks." I stepped away from the door at the same time Bo did. I then went to the next cell.

What Bo had said was stuck in my mind. Would Michael seriously kill me? I wouldn't doubt it. He already attacked me in my own home. Does he want to finish the job?
